The Dirtiest Race in History, was the title of the book. Damn good read. Calvin Smith was the only athlete from that field that didn't fail a test or have seriously compelling evidence they'd doped during their career. Lewis failed a test at the US trials prior to Soul but it was airbrushed out, as you say, because he was the poster boy of the American team...

Very interesting book showing after the fact that they were nearly all "at it" a suspicion I had before it came out. The reason why as I say in a previous post was the fact a lot of sports only just started testing by the end of the 80's before then it was spotty and the tests were pretty limited in what they were looking for. ie the drug developers were always several years ahead of the testers as many of these chemicals are naturally occouring in the body so went undetected before they realised what they were looking for. It's very interesting PEDS in sports and has always happened from early cyclists taking amphetamines to the billion dollar industry that's developed from it today.

Yeah well the Russians developed their own "Gear" post WW2 as they were isolated and they did it on an industrial scale especially for the Olympics most of the time the athletes not really being aware of what they were taking if anything. It's not like you could protest about it ....unless you're a daft twat. An example of their shitheadery was the female gymnasts that they gave a cocktail of gear to stunt puberty so they remained super flexible for years longer. If you see clips from the 60's and 70's they look like children....many weren't they just looked like kids because of the gear.

Or John Ziegler the American Phsician who invented dianabol and released it in the USA in 1958. He himself was shown the roid route by a Russian physicist whilst in Vienna with the American weight lifting team. He gave the entire USA Olympic weight lifting team dianabol in 1960 in Rome but still lost to Russia.

Yeah there's several womens records set in the 80's unlikely to be beaten by an actual women.....although a few of todays "women' ie those with a knob in between the legs might....so there's still hope..

CLenelo is a ****ing cheater and a disgrace. He should be banned forever.

You have no idea what Clenbuterol is and for what it's used.

    Nandrolone lmfao...Tyson Fury isn't a Bodybuilder dude.

    Get your facts straight.

Come on man stop defending Fury like Nandrolone is not useful to a fighter. a doping agent to accelerate muscle growth; to increase lean body mass, strength, and aggressiveness; and to allow faster recovery between athletic performances

Fury was busted for Nandrolone in early 2015. He fought Wlad afterwards and was (most likely) clean as the sample after the fight was clean and only the sample that came back after the Hammer fight wasn't. So the fights he might have cheated were Chisora and Hammer. Maybe. Now compare Tyson Fury physically from Cunningham in 2013 and Hammer in early 2015. I don't see a huge difference. It's not like he bulked up 15kg of lean muscle mass. I'm not defending him but he got a 2 year ban and thats it for me. The ban for Clenelo on the other side was an absolute joke. Six months? **** off.

Clenelo btw had a clear increase in muscle mass over the years AND he also got better stamina and cardio which is typically for Clenbuterol. If you compare both cases it's clear as day that Clenelo took substances for years and improved his physical shape, body composition and performances due to that while Fury might have taken some Nandro at some point but there was neither a clear bulk up in lean muscle mass nor some crazy power he added to his arsenal. Clenelo is part of a crazy cheating system which took place for years while Fury might have taken some **** once or twice but probably stopped because he knew it was dumb and wouldn't benefit him at all.

In the end both are cheaters in some way and both got busted and banned but one guy should have banned forever and the other guy got was he deserved (two year suspension).

fury doesn't get hate due to the mental health issues he had and the comeback (fair play for the comeback like)
they spin him to be the son of god in the UK, got a charity single comingo ut which i can imagine will make thousands.

so the ped use is easily forgotten by the casuals and footy fans, the hardcore fans don't forget though
