Who's the fighter he's ducking? Haye doesn't want to fight him(or his brother), Valuev obviously doesn't want the fight, tell me who's the guy he should be fighting?
Who else is there to fight? Valuev would not fight him for 2 million. Haye was booked and wants no part of his anyway. Besides, there just aren't any good big men out there other than his brother. Valuev- turned him down Briggs- Hasn't has a meaningful fight in years. Dimentrenko- last lost to 6 foot 1 in lifts Eddie Chambers Virchis- has had one fight since getting rolled by Juan Carlos Gomez a couple of years ago. Austin- please, Ustinov- Not quite ready Helenius- A Long way off Pulev- a Long way off So there you have it. Which of these guys should he be fighting?
The point of the thread is that Vitaly should be fighting bigger guys. Toney is as small as they get at heavy. Well, in terms of his height, if not his belly.
You are clearly a hater..this is the SECOND thread you have started like this: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6573731#post6573731 Albert Sosnowski is 6′ 2½″, 228lbs...hardly a "midget". He's also in very good shape. This content is protected
James Toney is a midget, so the tread starter would still be unpleased.....he's also irrelevant in the 2010 heavyweight scene
There's been a thread about this is already. Sosnowski is not a midget, and was European champion. You may say "he is a bum and an easy fight" and while this may turn out to be an easy fight, try and find a better contender. Let's look at the ESB rankings, which I more or less agree with. Champion: Wladimir Klitschko -fight will never happen for obvious reasons. 1. Vitali Klitschko 2. David Haye - fought in March 3. Alexander Povetkin - fought in March and wants no part of either Klitschko 4. Ruslan Chagaev - has a fight scheduled against Kali Meehan 5. Nikolay Valuev - was offered the fight and turned it down 6. Denis Boytsov - could have been interesting but Boytsov is young and not ready for a Klitschko yet 7. Chris Arreola - fighting Adamek, and Vitali already beat him 8. Eddie Chambers - Wlad just KO'd him 9. Tomasz Adameck - fighting Arreola 10. Sam Peter - Vitali already beat him up So who else could he have fought? Audley Harrison? Koki Kameda? Come on, Vitali has been active and fought 3 good contenders in 2009. Sosnowski, while no world beater, is a decent test. Vitali has said he will have retired by the end of 2010, so you can excuse a subpar opponent in order to stay busy for what will probably be his final fight later in the year.
You will never see this fight anyways. Not only is Boytsov not ready yet and still young....Vitali's trainer is the same guy(Sudnek) as Boytsov's. Sdunek is trying to prep another heavyweight champion in his hands prior to his main one(Vitali) retires in about 2 or 3 more fights. The Germans aren't dumb, lol. As soon as Vitali is all milked out and deteriorated from old age and can't fight in the ring again, Sdunek has Boytsov right there to fill Vitali's spot as world champion. I reckon that Boytov will get higher and higher in the rankings, Vitali will retire and vacant his belt, and Boytov will get a easy opponent for the vacant title. Someone like Austin or Gomez. Boxing is 80% buisness and 20% sport. The Germans gonna keep this title even after Vitali retires.
poor ts, he's not getting a lot of support i wish this was 1968-1974 where vitali had his pick of great contenders. but he doesn't. last year he beat up on gomez, arreola and johnson and was a solid contender for fighter of this year. this is a good in between fight until david haye's period is over, he cleans up from the heavy flow and decides to actually fight
