I am from the UK, and I know of Albert Sosnowski. He is nowhere near world-calibre, this fight is a bit of a joke, and will be every bit as one-sided as Vitali vs Sam Peter. Meanwhile, Olympic super-heavyweight champion and unbeaten contender Alexander Povetkin still has not had a title shot, even though a guy he beat has (Eddie Chambers) and other inferior fighters have (Kevin Johnson, Juan Carlos Gomez, Tony Thompson, etc). Now I am aware that Povetkin is the number 1 ranked contender with the IBF, and that Wladimir is the current IBF beltholder, but it looks like all Wladimir is concerned with is a unification fight with David Haye, so Vitali really could have offered Povetkin a title shot and freed up Wlad to fight Haye. I'm disappointed in Vitali for making a pointless fight with an unproven UK level heavyweight when a fighter with the pedigree of Povetkin is available. Thoughts? :bbb PS: This is my first thread in quite a long time, hello to anyone I knew when I used to post here!!!
I thought if the bout between Haye and little bros does not go through Povetkin is next in line and will get his shot
Povetkin?? Don't make me laugh. Povetkin does not want to fight either Klit. He is hoping Haye beats Wlad first so that he can fight Haye instead.
Vitali is dodging him. Wait, I don't believe that at all. Hasn't Povetkin been unavailable because of injuries?
Povetkin has been hiding from Wlad. He now claims to be ready with his new trainer, Teddy Atlas. He has ducked Wlad for a couple of years now.
Povetkin has no chance against Vitali or Vlad. Povetkin is the mandatory for Vlad. Vitali is still trying to get Haye to fight him, but I will not hold my breath. Adamek is also trying to get a fight with Haye. Haye is a fraud.
Povetkin has a mandatory shot against Wladimir. That means a bigger cut of the purse and no rematch clause. Against Vitali he'd be a simple voluntary challenger. That means less money and he'd have to agree to a rematch clause. Do you have any source you could post with Povetkin saying he is willing to fight Vitali as a voluntary challenger instead of making use of his mandatory shot against Wlad? (Nope you can't find any such source) Or maybe his managers Sauerland have ever mentioned something along those lines? (No they haven't). Otherwise this thread is quite pointless.
because povetkin is second biggest ***** in boxing after david haye bitching out from any klitchkos :yep
Nobody wants to face Vitali. Well they do for the money but not for the impending beatdown. Vitali may have slowed down a bit, dosn't sit on his punches anymore and is getting up in age but he's still a formidable force to reckon with. Most of the "saviors" of the heavyweight division are better off waiting untill he retires (as most are doing) and then fight for the vacant belt.
Povetkin never shown any interest in fighting Vitaly, he is mandatory for Wlad from 2008 and his injury was early 2009, since then Povetkin is targeting tune up after tune up saying he aint ready yet ... only last 2 months there is stronger intent from his camp to set terms with Wlad ... not Vitaly
