povetkin offered wilder 10 mill to fight but wilder never took the fight..............it was after stiverne fight but wilder said he was not ready yet.............when povetkin became mando in may wbc announced purse bids would not be ordered until october and team wilder scheduled two voluntary defences to avoid povetkin...........povetkin vs wach was made only a month after wilders 26th fight

Wilder says he will fight anyone but why is he running from povetkin?he will most likely try to unify with marty or whatever the bums name is to avoid facing povetkin

Haymon will probably try to make a Wilder vs Martin unification fight for late July or early September, and may well pay Povetkin -- the WBC mandatory challenger -- to step aside.

Because he's got a glass jaw - and his handlers KNOW it. It's perfect that Mark Breland is his trainer - maybe he can teach him how to land on the canvas when he finally faces a live body!

    Would not be terribly surprised.
Now while Saturday we saw the best Szpilka we could have possibly expected, and he showed a nice skill set, Martin is IMO more dangerous. I think he hits as hard as Wilder, and from that same awkward lefty stance that Szpilka fights from, but with more length.
Martin is not as fast, but I also think due to Martin's size, and Power, Wilder will be more tentative. Wilder also had trouble landing the jab, and looked sloppy against a lefty, more so than usual.
Haymon may not care though, and stick Wilder in for a lesser payday just to say he has a unified champion.
The only reason Wilder might fight Povetkin instead is because of risk vs. reward. Pov is a cash cow, and Martin is not.
With Wilder looking limited against a lefty, Martin may be as great a risk as Povetkin, even if Povetkin is a better fighter.
I just don't think Wilder is exactly 90's RJJ when fighing lefties.

Wilder will undoubtedly look more sharp against Povetkin, and have a tighter defense.
His hand positioning against Szpilka was terriblle. Against Martin that might be disastrous.

I leaned more towards the Wilder/Martin fight happening before I saw Martin interviewed. He not as charismatic, or as slick of a talker as Wilder. Haymon would much prefer Wilder with his abiliy to build up, and conduct heated barbs with guys like Fury.

I know this is unrelated to actual in ring performance, but a PPV build up to Fury with Wilder will sell many more tickets that Martin.

Leaning towards Martin being on the undercard against Stiverne, Cunninham, or possibly, but not as likely Chisora.

    So yeah Wilder vs. Povetkin
And Martin vs. Cunningham sounds about right.

If Wilder wins that one he's well on his way to PPV!
