    that works for me.
I'm a Hughie fan and while I don't like his chances vs Potvetkin, I give him no less than a 40% chance vs wilder.

    I hope this fight happens.

Imagine if both he and Tyson are successful in their fights.

Cousins, travelers no less, holding the HW crowns.

Wonder if they've ever promised never to fight one another????

It is precisely because he has no power that he is being considered.

When you have a fighter who has a glass jaw, and you are trying to manuever him into a big money "cash out" fight, you look for either the worst tomato cans, or lightest hitting "name" fighters you can find.

This said, Fury might STILL shatter Wilder's glass jaw. It's THAT bad. :yep

Hughie has a bad habit of pulling his punches in preparation for the next punch or to defend.

    But.....Wil

Hughie has a bad habit of pulling his punches in preparation for the next punch or to defend.

But.....Wilder has horrible balance so even a half thrown L hook could make it appear that wilder is hurt, and Hughie might see that as his chance to take the fight and start dropping bombs.

At 20 y/o, Hughie has already shown better control of center ring, better inside fighting, and a better overall skill set than wilder.

Yeah, he doesn't/hasn't shown that killer instinct yet, but that's something that can be learned by fighting from behind or from being buzzed a few good times

What gives you the slightest hint that he is packing glass.

Cuz we know for fact that Molina is, and wilder couldn't make easy work of him

Get real people. Wilder might be a cherrypicker but he beat Stiverne convincigly. He's not loosing to a featherfisted little kid.

Stiverne is a fat guy who was beaten more convincingly by Demetrice King.

Wilder himself was badly put down by Harold Scoiners.

Wilder's "freaky power" becomes average when you give him any movement, or when he himself has to move. It only exists when he can stand there and tee off. Hugh has some of the best footwork at heavy.

This would be a tough fight for Wilder. Make no mistake about that.

    Good post.

    And I'll add....

Hughie isn't afraid to fight inside. He did some good work inside when rudenko was able to corner him.

And he certainly takes a better shot.

This is disgusting. 7 weeks out to a HW world title bout and NO OPPONENT named. Wilder is a disgrace.
