Why is Wilder not the highest paid fighter in boxing?

I blame this on the weak dudes alive at this time.

Wilder is an absolute destructive killer. If Wilder's right hand doesn't knock you out the first time it hits you, it will make your eyes bulge out in terror, like what happened to Washington.

Everyone is scared of this dude. How is he not the highest paid fighter in boxing?

What more can you want? He's knocked out every single man he's faced. He's the most entertaining fighter in boxing.

He should be a bigger star than what he is. When he fights AJ and if he beats him that's when he will become a superstar.

he can learn to box and face better competition.
He faced one good opponent was being outboxed for 90% of the fight and almost stopped and you expect him to be crowned the king of boxing?

But the problem is that there is nobody after AJ. He should already be a star. I don't understand how he's not the highest paid athlete in the sport to be honest.

Everyone always ask for excitement in the heavyweight division.

Wilder provides nothing but excitement. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan, and I understand he has some flaws, but so what?

He's knocking people out. Hopefully, he learned from the Ortiz fight. Funny thing is even though I'm a Wilder fan, Ortiz had way more skill. If I was teaching someone how to box, I would use Ortiz' style.

Cubans are the best boxers. I believe that now. Forward, backwards. They can do it all.

Don't see how Wilder can get past AJ. He is a sitting duck intill he can land his power right hand and during that period of time AJ will have already done his damage.

    How can AJ beat him?

AJ is too big of a target. He's like Wlad 2.0. Nothing wrong with Wlad, but Wilder is too much for him. AJ can't use his size in this fight, so what does he have?

He won't outbox Wilder because Wilder is too long and pretty hard to hit. Best chance AJ has is to finish Wilder early with a big left hook.

But the way Wilder uses his range, that's a hard punch to land.

    So who else is there?

Honestly, the only guy I would be worried that Wilder would lose against is Big Baby.

The missing piece of the puzzle here is promotion. All these guys with no promoters all complain that nobody watches them, and they blame the public.

It’s very simple. Get a promoter!

    AJ is the sitting duck.

AJ was getting his ass outboxed by a 100 year old Wlad. The only thing that separated them was that Wlad gassed and AJ found an uppercut.

I just don't think he can deal with Wilder's agility.

It's funny you have a GGG avatar because the same thing happened to him. He got screwed too.

Honestly, these are the guys I want to watch.

I want to watch monsters. And it's not like GGG doesn't have a ton of boxing talent.

Now Wilder has some issues, but people underestimate him. He is unorthadox, but he's pretty hard to hit.

He doesn't have a promoter. He was with Golden Boy, but left after he got the title. In retrospect that was a mistake, Oscar could've promoted him to the hilt. He uses DiBella's promotional services, but since he isn't one of DiBella's fighters DiBella doesn't put much effort in promoting Wilder.

Wilder clearly wanted to cut out the middleman and he did, but it came at the price of his name not being as established as it could've been.

If Don King weren't so old he would be the perfect promoter for Wilder, since he can offer the mouthpiece Wilder needs to attract the non boxing fans like Tyson, Ali, and Roy Jones who had natural talent on the microphone.

    he self promotes well

he is americas best paid heavy by far and one of the best paid fighters in the world

not everyone can get paid 10 to 20 million a fight

    your using AJ as comparison

thats wrong AJ drawing power is unique and should be left out of it

wilder is getting 10 times more than most of his opponents .

seemingly it is only PPV fighters getting the mega paydays
shame IMO because it is and has driven away 90% of casual fans

1.5 million a fight is still good money

You have his advisors to thank for not having faith in him from the start and not wanting to make too much noise about him hence nobody knew who he was. Ive noticed that now he has taken control and is making alot of noise to gain interest his people are all of a sudden saying the things they were meant to be saying years ago.

Until the Ortiz win he didn’t have a win over an elite top 6 HW.

The promotional interest and revenue from his shows is as a consequence not very high.

Many still see him as a paper champion

Too long and too hard to hit?
Spilka , Ortiz and dusty Nichols had no problems outboxing older and they are smaller than joshua
