Why is Wilder so scared of Whyte?

Look I think Wilder's resume is poor, I don't rate him and I hate that the Povetkin and Ortiz fights fell through because I think they both ice him. I also hate that the WBC have instilled Stiverne as mando despite not deserving it and failing a test himself. Also Whyte has a previous failed test so **** him as well. BUT Ortiz and pov popping PED's is outside of Wilder's control. He signed to fight two guys no one else was trying to fight and I'm not going to ask much more of him than that.

Whyte is average and isn't in a mandatory position for the WBC. He knows he can't step in all of a sudden and that's why his mouth is running.

 

Lol he had to sign to fight Povetkin. He didn't want to and he fled as soon as Povetkin failed his test. He chose to fight Ortiz which I was prepared to give him credit for (although it's likely he chose him knowing his history). They didn't get popped for PEDS. All 3 failed drug tests for different things... But WBC only clears Stiverne and installs him as mandatory... That's suspect.

None of this changes the fact he ducked Whyte...

 

Whyte is borderline top-10 guy. Even Pulev is better (proven by Chisora).

 

Wilder's afraid of his own shadow.

 

Have I missed something??? When did Dillian Whyte turn into this amazing boxer?? Everybody seems to think he is the feared wreking ball! He went life and death with a fat shot chisora ffs!

 

I don't rate Whyte highly as a boxer but it could have been a good fight because he does have name and Wilder struggles with everybody. Nobody knew who was Szpilka except the Wisla Krakow soccer fans and his prison cellmates.

 

I'm a Brit who has seen all of Whyte's fights post drugs ban. And I can definitely say he is garbage. His technical ability HD improved under Tibbs but he has awful power and his only real quality attribute is his iron chin. Chisora beat him.

Wilder would stop him, Brezeale would stop him. Wach had a good chance of beating him but being robbed on the cards. Dillian Whyte gives good interviews and pre fight trash talk. That's it.

 

I think this is it. Wilder just doesn't want the aggro Whyte would bring. Whyte is a nightmare fighter in the build-up if not in the ring. Wilder acting like a cartoon character wouldn't go down too well with Tibbs and the gang..

Not saying Wilder would have anything to be scared about, but I can see him being left looking like a complete clown. Something he especially won't want when he's making a first impression on the British fans tuning in..

And even his chin was softened by taking punisment vs AJ since round 1. Chisora (who doesn't hit very hard) wobbled him badly.

 

Whyte has a few factors in his favor.

1. He can fight southpaw.

2. Hes got a good amateur background and overall exp. in combat being a former U.K kickboxing champion and dabbled in MMA. showing hes athletic and can adapt.

3. He's been in with very skilled Joshua and ate punches wilder would have to possibly duplicate bc Whyte is durable .

4. His style could vary to either aggressive or passive,he wont have to follow Wilder and be one dimensional who likes fighting on the back foot. Whyte has many angles to fight from ,Wilder isnt exactly hard to confuse in there.

5. Whyte has great body shots and a straight body jab that could off set Wilders weak balance.

All this adds up to a very interesting fight despite what ppl wish to lable an easy fight. At 250 whyte also has a high volume punch out put and is has fought in all styles,hes getting better at adjusting in fights and tempo.

All this adds up to a dangerous opponent that if he wins early rnds that wilder could give up and be behind it could prove to be his undoing in this one.

I would still favor Wilder at this point bc of Whytes defense flaws when he throws power shots but its certainly not a bum fight.

 

Because whyte is in his prime and go at wilder and try and win

 

I'd rather see Deontay fight David Haye.

 

Yes, if Wilder really had wanted to fight Povetkin, he would have saved the fight. But Wilder began to talk about the "knife" which Povetkin brought into the ring.

Stiverne has missed a VADA drug test, but Wilder or the WBC aren't worried about it.
