Why is Wlad picking such poor fighters?

    On this pic she's hot.

On some others she looks like Paul Williams :)

    This thread seems completely premature.

    Wlads last 5 opponents

1 - David Haye - 25-1 - His 'greatest challenge' and defining fight so far
2 - Same Peter 2 - 34-3 - Not the best fight but not a bad stay busy fight in between two good ones
    3 - Eddie Chambers - 35-1 - Good fight against a good challenger
4 - Ruslan Chagaev - 25-0 - Not a bad replacement fight when Haye pulled out
    5 - Hasim Rahman - 45-6 - Bad fight

Out of his last 5 fights, hes fought 1 poor fighter. And that was almost 3 years ago.

As for who hes picking for his next fight, the fact is, nobody here besides chef knows whats really going on as far as who hes looking to fight, and until a fight is signed, anyone making a big deal about wlad picking poor fighters to fight is just being foolish, imo.

Wlad has and is cleaning out the entire division.... theres really only a handful of guys to pick from that make any sense at all at this point, and with him coming off just fighting the guy everyone was clamoring for, picking at his choice of opponents seems bizarre.

This thread seems like an agenda piece.

Chagaev was more than "not a bad replacement". He was an UNBEATEN WBA WORLD CHAMPION. Peter fight was taken when Povetkin once again bitched out of a fight, and to show the world once and for all that Wlad is levels above Nigerian Nightmare, despite their difficult first fight.

I agree with you and yet stand by what I said.

I can't really fault Wlad's recent opposition. Considering the lack of quality out there, he's fighting the best of a bad bunch which makes it even more disappointing to see him openly mention Fury, sign two fights with Chisora and be rumoured to fight Wach. If that fight isn't happening, great, and I hope it was just a rumour.

However, I think the criticisms are still valid. Yes, it's a weak division and you can't fault the opponents Wlad fights but you can fault him for mentioning guys who aren't in the top 25. Would Pacquiao be criticized? Of course. Would Mayweather? Yep. Martinez, Cotto, Bute and all these other guys be criticized? Absolutely. Yet, for whatever reason, Wlad isn't.

If he isn't fighting Wach, then it's good news for fans. I just hope he continues to fight the best for the good of the sport, even if they aren't great fighters, rather than milk his rising popularity against guys like Fury. I always said that Wlad is a true champion and he can make boxing proud of him but to do that, he needs to continue facing the elite.

Hey! Instead of bitchin' & whining like a chick on the rag why don't you pick his next opponent? It's much easier for you to wait for him to pick someone so you can put them down isn't it?

I already said what I think he should do. Wait a few weeks and take on, probably, Helenius or Povetkin. Wlad doesn't need an opponent right away. He can afford to wait a while longer, so why not?

There's nothing wrong with a stay busy fight against Wach or Chisora, before Chisora lost to Fury that is.

I like a HW Champ that fights often, sue me. Also, I already said that K2 was probably offering Wach a deal as a backup plan in case an Arreola fight fell through. Chances are I'm right, once again :D

Hope the news are false, Wlad gains nothing fighting Wach, the kid is slow, clumsy, is not ready, complete mismatch.

Povetkin, Arreola, Helenius, Dimitrenko are the names Wlad should be looking at.

I think if Povetkin wins he will milk his 'WBA' belt for a while, no doubt he will have some clown like Austin as his mandatory knowing the WBA as well. I don't see Helenius going after Wlad until he has 20 fights under his belt either.

Wach-Klitschko is nothing but yapping. Don't believe rumors about the Klitschkos unless they come from the Bros themselves.

If the Povetkin/Chagaev winner doesn't want the fight a Haye rematch is next best. If not those, then Wlad should fight someone worthy who wants it like Thompson or Chambers. But I suppose it's easier to hype the Arreola match.

Helenius is way too green he needs more fights.

It's a really desolate scene. The only heavys that could potentially trouble Wlad are David Haye and Tony Thompson and Wlad has demolished both of them.

Vlad has been fighting the best possible, Povetkin refused to fight him, so he will wait, but for how long? Vitali and Vlad are cleaning out the heavyweight division, it took Vitali one round to knock Solis out and Haye ran from Vlad, refused to fight..............

Losing to Dawson (and knocking him down btw.) is 10X better than getting ktfo by Thompson or stinking out joints against Valuev and Wlad. Adamek has the better resume spanning three weight divisions and is a more consistent fighter. Deal with it wigger.
