watson has won a l/middleweight title and is a w,w, at best, he is a very good fighter, and i think a manchester derby with jennings makes good financial sense, and a good fight to boot, has watson been offered the fight?, has he turned it down?, and why woulden't he be aproached first, rather than someone from london fighting in preston.:?:?
Watson wants to drop down to LWW, which I think is a mistake. He should stay at welter and try and get a rematch with Matt Hatton.
Surely that's never going to happen if they're both promoted by Ricky Hatton. As for Watson - Jennings, would he really want that at short notice? Not to mention Frank and Ricky probably aren't keen on working together.
i would have thought that personal dislikes between promoters shouldn't effect their prospects of making a lucrative fight for their fighter, at least it shouldn't do, i feel that watson is the kind of fighter who would have jumped at the opertunity, . i also feel that him going down to lightwelter would be pushing the boat out to far, he looks good at welter.
I agree with the OP; Watson vs Jennings is a far more interesting fight. For what it's worth, I've been far more impressed with Watson then I have Kell Brook. The '0' means little.
very good point, the mans a proper fighter, i think they are avoiding him plain as that , i would buy a ticket for it, him and jennings make a great fight. what about watson brook , in say sept, something tells me watson would be nodding his head to that one ,as for brooks opinion on it ?.
watson is naturaly awkward southpaw, brooks a manufactured one, the ingles now there boxing and thats probably why watson aint getting the fight.
Brook just makes too many mistakes. He's an accurate puncher, but only appears a decent one because of the glass chinned opponents he's faced. Watson would take his best, outmanouver and outpunch him IMO.
fleaman ,your a pest. [get it], i agree like i say he,s naturaly awkward, he can punch, has good stamina, agood chin, it would seem all these good attributes, go against you when it comes to getting good matches, good luck to him i hope he gets the big fight he deserves and shortly.:good
Watson v O'Donnell II should have happened a while ago, it would have sorted out this mess, I thought Watson clearly won the first fight. He's a decent little fighter
it makes you sick when they just don't mention a good fighter like watson, as a good replacement for jennings, like i say, they are avoiding him. if one of the two get injured or pull out this time, id sugest watson trains hard, you never no.
