Why isn’t Team Parker complaining about the headbutt KD?

I'm ok with the decision, I am a bit dirty at the ref for letting Whyte get away with as much as he did but ultimately Parker AGAIN did the "I'll throw some punches here, then sit back and admire my work instead of finishing the job" type stuff through the fight. If he wanted it more, I personally feel like he could have had it.

To me, this fight was Joe's chance to vindicate the likes of myself who stuck up for slightly less convincing performances in the last few fights and prove himself to be a legit contender and title holder - he had the tools to win and had the opportunity to get there earlier than he may have. Every single time there are excuses, and in the past there have been reasonable ones but I'm a bit bored of it now.

Think he is an awesome guy, has awesome talent, but Whyte vs Parker to me showed who really want to fight to be number #1. The better boxer didn't win, but the person who was going to do everything to get the win won. Something big needs to change for me to pay more money to see him fight in future.

20c says we'll see him clear out the top of the antipodean HW division to get back into it, "exact revenge" on Junior Fa (who is now ranked in the WBO and beat a baby Joe Parker in the ams), and then give grandpa Browne a busted hip, bump his rankings up a bit and then maybe try for a rematch with Whyte after Whyte has been KTFO by AJ or Wilder.

With Parker being the top beta. Face it, the guy just doesn't have the conditioning to go 12 rounds at a fast pace or the aggression he needs to beat the top 5 fighters in the world.

Parker was winning that round 10-8?

Whyte must have won every round after until round 12 by the same margin then.....

If you, as was suggested before the fight, scored every single close round to Whyte, he'd have won by 6 or 7 points on every card.

    Scoring was fine.

    @Reinhardt

    Exactly!

When you get called a 'Coward' by your opponent pre-fight.....
And Sky Sports pundits are calling you 'too nice' and are saying he was happy in the Joshua fight to be 'Second best'.....

Is complaining about your opponent being rough going to help?

No - He would've been laughed at.

I watched the post fight interview. Parker at the time didn't know it was a headbutt so couldn't complain, Higgins didn't really see it either so couldnt say, not sure about the trainer. They did moan that Parker was winning that round (3points turnaround) and the accidental headbutt probably concussed Parker for a few rounds. And that the ref should have deducted Whyte a point for using dirty tactics repeatedly.

Without the accidental headbutt I think Parker wins the fight because he probably lost the next few rounds beings concussed/hurt and lose some confidence that Whyte could knock him down. So Parker definitely got a raw deal in this fight.

Parker needs to improve on not being so nice in the ring, that we could all agree on. He also needs inside game and counter punch better. And keep the hands up so doesn't get jab in face so often that the opponent scores.

How could it lose him the fight when Parker won about 3 rounds

The better boxer did win. Parker got his face jabbed off, he was beaten in every single department.

    Helluva nice guy tho

Parker just isn't that good. He's one of the weakest HW titleholders ever. He arguably lost to Ruiz, looked bad against Cojanu, and lost to Joshua.

I finally saw some clips of the fouls by Whyte and they include: holding behind the head and hitting, rabbit punches (at least 20+), lacing with open hand glove, wrestling, elbowing, shoulder shrugs and head butting. The head butt in the second round was a beauty.

The ref also in the last round lifted a bent over, exhausted Whyte by the shoulders to a standing position. Grabbed his gloves hanging by his side and lifted them to his chest. That's illegal. Whyte is supposed to that upon verbal command from the ref not have the ref do it for him.

I've complained about the uneven refereeing in the sport. Maybe boxing just needs to make rabbit punching, head butting, lacing, elbowing and assisting fighters to make it through rounds legal.

The Nsac said " Don't worry in the rematch Uncle Kenny Bayless will stop him hurting you he'll protect you " :eaea: And that's exactly what happened. Josepk Parker is a MAN

No, no he wasn't. Whyte wouldn't have had to have used illegal tactics all the way through the fight if he was able to outbox him in every department - even HE knew Joe was the better boxer.

Higgins was busy looking down on his phone sitting alongside his husband Hearn to see anything.

It really makes you question whether he knew Parker was there to get shafted.

    This isn't normal
