Why isn’t Whyte taking on Breazeale?

Its clear Dillian doesn’t wanna fight Ortiz, especially not to become the second mandatory. So why not just take on Breazeale for the mandatory spot. He keeps moaning about the WBC yet he keeps paying their sancationing fees.

Breazeale said he would fight him so just beat up Breazeale and get that shot you been crying about.

Where has Breazeale said he would fight him???

It would be an excellent fight... but still even if he did get mandatory position... still no guarantee of Title shot anytime soon, it would be nice to have in the pocket though for future use.

If the deal with Chisora falls through, then Breazeale makes sense... otherwise 5 million pounds is an enticing offer to rematch Chisroa.

I personally think go for the Breazeale... good AJ practise on a tall opponent who will bring the fight unlike Helenius.

Whyte has beaten some good opponents compared to the ones on Breazeales list. Beating Chisora, Helenius and Parker should be enough to earn him a mandatory position already. Breazeale is a risky fight and a loss or draw could collapse the good wins he's already stacked up for himself. More money fighting above but in saying all this, they could end up fighting soon.

I think next for Whyte will be one of those four guys: Martin, Jennings, Molina or Takam. Brezeale was pretty inactive in the last year and I don't know the reason why. He should fight more often.

Not Haymons fault on this one this all on Whyte.. Breazeale has called Whyte out and said it only makes sense since Wilder is fighting Fury in December and Whyte feel that he should be the mandatory.. if you google it you will see a SkySports article about it.. not sure if we can post links to articles

It would make sense and he could probably offer Breazeale more money to fight him than a fight vs Wilder at least based upon past opponents pay.

But Breazeale isn't fighting anyone at the moment for a reason, he's protecting his mandatory spot for a shot at Wilder I doubt he wants to risk it vs anyone let alone Whyte and even if he does want the fight Haymon doesn't he's got Breazeale positioned to shield Wilder from any unwanted mandatory challengers and won't change that.

Why on earth would Brazil take that fight? He's the mandatory now due to WBC preferable treatment, and he'd be stupid to give up that spot by facing a guy that's favorite to beat his ass.

Whyte has just done 450K PPV. Once you get a few mil for a fight you want it for every fight

IMO Whyte should fight Del Boy. I had Chisora winning the first fight (which admittedly was close) and the casuals in the UK will lap it up

It's clear they won't let him get his shot no matter what he does.

I don't think Al Haymon wants that fight to happen.
Wilder vs Breazeale is a definite fight down the line (whether Wilder beats Fury or not), they both have ''beef'' and it makes sense if the AJ fight doesn't happen. I would love to see Breezy take on Luis Ortiz or Gerald Washington next tho.

I don't deny he said that, but Breazeale doesn't call the shots. Al Haymon is hardly going to give a Matchroom fighter an easy route to Wilder is he? It would compromise his negotiating position with Joshua.

We can't know what is happening behind the scenes in discussions and talks, but I guess it is fair to assume that Haymon is probably making it more difficult or awkward than it needs to be...

Whyte said he doesn't mind fighting Chisora, or Breazeale so I guess we all have to wait and see what happens.

I'm pretty sure he's fighting in December, and he won't go for a journeyman at all.... so time will tell who it's going to be.

Give it some time, maybe they already in talks - Chisora/Whyte, Breazeale/Whyte... we'll see... it's still October.
