Why isn't Ali's performance in Ali vs Frazier II as highly rated as the Fight of the Century?

So the fact I agree with the majority of people is evidence that I'm wrong?

    Interesting logic...

Isn't looking at a boxer's prime the best way to assess how good a fighter was? That would make lay-offs irrelevant.

And who are these 10 fighters that you think could beat Ali?

Frazier looked far better in that fivght than Tyson looked in hs 30`s, Ali threw tons of hooks at Joe in that rematch, his hand speed almost matched his prime and he was in much better shape than he was in TFOTC.

Ali threw far more hooks in the rematch than in the firs fight which stoppe Joe getting off so many of his own hooks and Ali hurt Joe in Rd2 also.

No, I mean your in the majority, as in its the norm. I think I'll leave it there with you bud, I ain't debating with someone who thinks Ali is a God, Olu is as bad, he actually thinks it's disrespectful matching Ali against anyone

So my opinion in this case is in line with the norm... What's you point?

I didn't say Ali is a God, I'm just disagreeing with you.

    (Sigh...)

And you still haven't named the 10 fighters who you think would beat Ali.

I'll do it for him: 88 Tyson, 92 Bowe, Lewis, the K brothers, 92 Roidyfield, prime Holmes and even Fury.
    That's 8.

I think they would all be in with a chance against Ali after his 3 year lay-off.

But none of them would beat Ali in his prime.

They beat any version of Ali, he had too many flaws that could be exploited.

That's a fact, whether you like to accept it or not. Ali never had proper boxing fundamentals.

Ali was three pounds lighter in tyhe second fight v Frazier, he clearly trainer hardder for that rematch, he didn`t look good in tyheir first clash at all.
