Why isn't Brendan ingle in the hall of fame?

Guys in the Hall of Fame generally train way more then 4 world champions. Yes it is respectable that he's brought four fighters to world level from scratch but when was the last time a bigtime star went "I'm looking for something new and I think Brendan Ingle is the man to do it?????" Never heard of that happening. If you look at a guy like Uli Wagner in Germany you'll see that its not just American trainers that have the prestige.

If he trained all those bigtime fighters, he probably should be in there.

What are you going to do about it other than go "hurr...America bad...durr" on the internet?

 

you do know that 'world champion' should mean champion of the world, don't you?
using that term on fighters like johnny nelson (when it suits you) should make you re-think your use of the term

 

you mean there's no denying he held 'a belt'
on no planet was the man ever a world champion
how can you even suggest that with a straight face?

a 'world champion', like I said previously, means 'champion of the world' - at least it does in all sports except boxing
EVERYBODY should be working to differentiate between the pretenders and legit champions in this sport, because it plays a big part that big fights we want to see aren't made

 

When the dust settles he will be inducted, regardless of the result tonight. True boxing people know the impact he and his family have made in the game. He is a legend and his legacy still lives. Anyone who has written/watched boxing outside of America knows this.

 

I don't keep up with it - and I never have
it never tells the story of a fighter's accomplishments, or the baby**** politics behind why a fighter like cotto has the luxury to deny a guy like golovkin
belts are water in boxing, and I don't know how anyone with enough boxing knowledge (that's directed at anyone on this forum, not aimed at you particularly), can call them anything but the source of all corruption in a very corrupt sport

 

And despite being no Holyfield{who is?] an extremely good one. Only in my opinion probably just about scrapes into the top 10 best ever cruiser weights.
