GGG was jabbing all night and we know his jab destroys people. Surely if they were LANDING his face would be busted up?
He didn't miss all night. He landed at about the same connect percentage Nelo did. He just threw more and landed more than Alvarez. The damage wasn't showing up because most of the shots that GGG did land were reduced in power by Nelo back peddling or rolling with the shots. Jabs don't inflict a lot of damage anyway and most of the punches GGG landed flush were jabs. When fighters are on their bike and have skills like Alvarez, it's hard to inflict damage no matter what kind of punching power someone is working with
Canelo actually did a good job avoiding those bombs while on the ropes. Lot's of nice slipping and head movement
