Why isn't Deontay Wilder famous/huge in America yet?

    The point I was making is that Tyson got mainstream media attention and was a household name when he was beating bums, but Wilder isn't?

    It's more than just GGG who fights four times a year to be popular. That's how Nonito Donaire raised his stock a few years ago. Adonis Stevenson fought four times the year he became Fighter of the Year. Roman Gonzalez fights four times a year. It helps fighters stand out from the crowd and it keeps their names in the papers.

    Lewis went pro in 1989. How the hell did he duck a prime Tyson?

    It was Tyson's manager who PAID Lewis NOT to fight Tyson in 96 so Tyson could fight Holyfield.

    I'm American and I don't like him, I just don't think he's that good. I also think it's stupid for someone to feel obligated to like someone because they're the same nationality.

    Because he is garbage.

    People know a fraud when they see one. This guy is maginally better than Dustin Nichols and Harold Scoiners, and demonstrably poorer than prime Demetrice King. The fans are tired of him teeing off on half dead zombies and carnival fat men, brining in pals to take dives, and s****ing the barrel to find bums for "title defeneses."

    Also, his antics of beating up hookers and talking trash about legends who could come out of retirement and beat him right now don't help.


    The man has eyes, doesn't he?
