Why isn't Fury fighting better opposition?

    I don't get why this guy doesn't fight better opposition, aside from the Chisora fight he's been fighting mostly journeymen. I just saw a vid that was titled Fury/Hamer press conference call, and at first I thought he was fighting that big quitting puss thor, but it looks like he's fighting someone even at a lower level.

    Why are you making this about Wilder? Either way Scott beats him easy, and also has a great chance at beating Fury.

    I actually agree, but Stiverne is 1000x better than anyone one Fury's resume, at least Wilder is stepping up. You agree on that right?

    I don't rate stiverne he is just a less of a bum compared to wilder to me a little step up but that's about it

    and no stiverne is not 1000 better anyone on furys resume chisora is equal or better then him

    Fury is doing a similar tactic to Wilder...lets not pretend. And the reason is probably for the same reason. Suspect glass chin. Also Fury has not exactly ever shown the best shape/physical conditioning. He's already retired once when he had a sulk over losing all the money the Haye fight was gonna bring him. It was like your number coming up on the lottery and then finding you'd not bought a ticket that week.

    So we have...

    suspect glass chin

    poor conditioning

    mentally weak...lacks real fire and ambition. Only in it for the money..then off he will go and retire again for a while till he needs more money.

    He's fighting a fighter ranked #4 by the WBO when he's already mandatory for the WBO title. How many boxers would fight a decent fighter in a keep busy fight when they are already guaranteed a title shot?

    To put it into perspective Wilder went as low as to fight Jason Gavern to make sure he didn't lose.

    Lol how am I trolling? I'm just generally curious on why Fury who I had high hopes on isn't fighting better opposition? This is the guy who was going to fight Haye.

    Simple as that, Deontay wilder fights jason gavern for a tune up, so he dont lose his shot at stiffervne. Fury fights a top 15 ranked hammer to tune up for wladimir klitchko.

    But Ellerbe i would of liked if he fought Ustinov before klitchko that would be a decent win. hammer is typical fat,small slow. but he hits harder then Gsora.
