Why isn't Golovkin fighting at 168?! He said he would.

Who at 168 is going to sign the contract? Remember Froch was quoted that he is ducking GGG like the plague.

Why did you make this thread about Ward all of a sudden?

Personally I'd rather GGG did move up to 168 cos that's where I see the competitive fights for him, but if he beats Rubio he lines himself up for a Cotto / Canelo fight and with it the lineal title 160 title. Furthermore with the Korobov / Lee WBO title potentially in play once more I don't think he can be blamed for looking to take advantage of the MW options.

After all, TBH there really isn't that many 'big' fights to be made at 168 either. Froch and Kessler, both of whom are on the verge of retirement, Ward (if and when he starts fighting again) and possibly Tony Dirrell or Bika (neither of which are really any bigger than the MW scraps available to GGG).

In theory he could run out of top tier SMW fights within a year. What then? LHW?

EDIT. And saying you're 'open to offers' from 154 - 168 means exactly what it says.

I love Golovkin which is why I'm frustrated. the man will be 33 soon and Canelo Alcarez at 24 has a better resume
