    You mean 140 lbs.
You cant expect a fighter who's been at Welter for several fights to come down to 130 lbs.

Marquez was in his physical and mental prime when he boxed Pacquiao. When Floyd handpicked him, he was 36 and had to move up two weight classes. Floyd picked him at the right time, while Pac fought him when Marquez was at his best.

Only delusional *****s would think Marquez vs. Pacquiao right now at 147 would be a close hard fight.

Are you new to boxing? Yes, Mayweather schooled a much older, much smaller, but most importantly, fought a Juan Manuel Marquez in a weight at least 10lbs heavier than his normal fighting weight, which was 126lbs and was already noticeably slower and heavier at 135lbs, but still had achieved success at that weight, a weight which should of been his limit as to not going any farther up. He is not as young as Pacquiao, so at JMM's age he can't really get any better. Despite having an agreement to fight at 144, Mayweather couldn't or didn't want to lose anymore for some reason and decided to pay the penalties for not respecting the agreement and fought JMM at 146. Not to discredit Mayweather, but you try fighting with an extra 15lbs on you and see if you perform the same.

Pacquiao to his credit DID fight a JMM in his optimal weight, in another words, he fought JMM at his best fighting weight. Would of Floyd still beat JMM at 130-135? I think so, due more to the styles, but it would of been a much, much closer and competitive fight than the one we saw. Simply put, Pacquiao has adapted much better than Marquez has in the heavier weight classes. That's all their is to it.Pacquiao is a strong 31 and Floyd is 33 so they should both be at their very best. Marquez is close to 40 and in a weight class he is new to and not really tested at despite him being a master at his craft.

I'm not reading through the thread to point out the obvious, in the slim chance it was missed. Manny fought Marquez at a weight that was good for Marquez. Floyd called him up two weight classes and then didn't come close to making the contracted weight. Absolutely very little to compare here.

You all can delude yourself as much as you like. If the fight is ever made it will be a mismatch. The best thing Pac has going for him is that he is quick. After Floyd finds his range he is going to mug Pac all night long. Pac is going to dodge him and fight margo in an all criminal fixed death match.

He'll be confused and arm punching by round 4. By round 8 or 9 Roach will be thinking of stopping it so the congressman doesn't need Bobby to step in and finish his term. If Pac doesn't clam up early it will get ugly for him fast. Pac is facing an ATG and people will see the difference between hype and reality.

Pac got very hesitant for stretches in both Marquez fights, particularly the first fight where Marquez could'nt miss with the right if he tried.......but I would'nt go as far as to say Pac will clam up vs Mayweather.

.......I believe, though outclassed, Pac's mindset will always be to land the homerun ball, which is why I think Mayweather has a good chance to land a big countershot that puts Pac on ***** street to spell the beginning of the end for a stoppage win for Mayweather.

"Pacquiao improved so much since then, Marquez is going to have to deal with a totally different and much improved fighter." - Freddie Roach (before the rematch with Marquez) :deal

After beating drained Oscar and Shotto, it appears the boxing community has lost memory of what happened the last time Pac faced an elite fighter...

Pacquiao had a hard close fight with Marquez. Yet Marquez also had a very close and hard fought decision against an older Barrera that Pacquiao had blasted through. Barrera even outlanded Marquez.

You can't take Pacquiao's fights with Marquez TOO much into consideration. Take it with a grain of salt.

The reason why Pacquiao beat Barrera easily is because he's flat footed and when his lead hand is extended he's a bit exposed to the straight left. The style matchup against Marquez was more "even" which is why they had a closer fight.

Pacquiao has been picked to death by Morales and Marquez x2, this can't be taken for a grain of salt, lol
