Bad take. Pac has an incredible resume. Some of the criticisms in the opening post are ridiculous lol.
How did Pac duck Crawford? He literally signed a contract to fight him. And when the signed fight fell through due to the money not getting secured, Arum killed the fight and Pac moved on to fight Spence. Hard to say Pac ducked him when he signed a contract to fight him.
The man has fought and beaten ATGs and HOFers such as Barrera, Morales, JMM, ODLH, Cotto, Mosley, not to mention future HOFers like Hatton and Bradley. Also became champion in multiple weight classes and the oldest WW champion. Is undeniably the greatest Asian boxer, gave fans many thrilling fights, and has done things that can’t be replicated. Yet somehow you still have to find an excuse to pick apart his resume when it’s blatantly clear that you have a bias and agenda.
The fact people STILL have to find reasons to criticize Pac’s resume that’s filled with HOFers and ATGs even to this day is astonishing. It seems like there’s just no pleasing with everyone no matter what he does. His resume and achievements will look even better as time goes on and people will have a greater appreciation for him.
It's more like if Loma fought like Callum Smith back when he was a champion, Pacquiao started at 112.
What's there to criticize? The guy faced everyone he could in his era. He wanted the Mayweather fight earlier but Floyd kept pushing it back. He even wanted a 5th Marquez fight but the pee drinker refused. Dude was a fighter, didn't care about wins or losses. I respect him for that. Manny is a legend, can't badmouth him.
man, after beating pacquiao he went 11 fights with 4 victories and 7 defeats. That's pretty much the definition of being shot. And yes, a shot morales can still win to elite fighters, because freaking morales is an ATG, but he's shot anyway. If that morales was able to win the first fight, prime morales sweeps the canvas with pacquiao. I have no doubt about it.
I don’t see how he lost those fights or the fight against Diaz either. But I understand boxing and why he was given those losses.
