Why isn't PBF considered in the same light as a Pac or Calzaghe?

I'm seeing these thread about Pac and Calzaghe being ATG's but when it comes to Floyd his accomplishments gets down played.

Its like its never ending ... he needs to fight this guy to be considered great ... he needs to fight that guy to be considered great ... its a never ending story.

This man has won 5 division world titles - 6 total ...

Yet Calzaghe can go up fight in 2 weight classes and get more respect, more clout than Floyd.

Pac can do basically the same thing as Floyd maybe even less and can get more resepct than Floyd.

This guy has done alot in less time than both guys yet he takes the back burner to them.

He's fought in just as many title fights as Calzaghe ... he's fought more world champions ... former or current than Calzaghe.

He's fought in more title fights than Pacquiao and has held just as many linear titles and more alphabet belts than Pac.

    Whats the deal fellas?

Why doesn't 1 fight with Cotto define a 12yr career?

Calzaghe fought Lacy, Kessler, and Hopkins when they were considered the biggest threat in the same weight class.

Pacman has fought MAB, Morales, and JMM in the same situation. Diaz was only a tune up.

Mayweather has fought Corrales and Castillo back in 130 and 135 when they were his biggest threat. He has been at 147 for a few years now without facing the biggest threats in Margarito, Cotto and Mosley.

Mayweather is not in their light. He is a class or two above.

dude that is the lamest bullsh*t excuse that anyone can come up with. MAB, Erik, and Hopkins were all were past their primes and only Hopkins was ever really seen as a true top p4p fighter. None were any better then the version of Oscar that Floyd fought. Hatton was rated higher on p4p lists then anyone Pac has ever fought at the time of the fight. Lacy was a prospect that won a title and hasnt don sh*t in the two ot three years since losing to Calzaghe, and Kessler is about in the same boat. Floyd has a better resume then both of those guys. And is undefeated which still counts for something. Pac has lost a number of fights.

Floyd will clearly be seen as the greater of the three in time.:hi:

Excuse me son but Lacy hasn't acheived anything since and Kessler has ruined his rep turning down a fight against Miranda.

Hopkins only had two fights at LHW and 1 was against a natural super welterweight ...

I don't think those wins hold any weight ...

And like I said before PBF has fought more champions (former/current) than those two combine ... and he's won just as many championships as the two combine and he's held the p4p title for over 2 yrs ... on his way winning 2 linear championship and 2 weight class championships.

The whole past his prime crap dont fly with me. Hopkins, MAB, and Morales were winning when Pac and Calzaghe fought them. Regarless of age. They had better momentum going into the fight than DLH who had only won a single fight in his last 5 going up against Mayweather.

Because of all the **** he talks, he claims to be the greatest ever, so people expect him to do great things that have never been done before. He is a very talented fighter that doesn't pursue challenges. He brought it on himself. He has enough money, he should be worrying about his legacy now. He doesn't have memorable fights. He is in such a talent filled weight class, there are plenty of fights out there for him. He is already greater than Calzaghe and pac by the way.

Unlike all the greats, PBF has taken the path of least resistance. Fought the weakest champions he could. Pac has always tried to take on the most difficult fights possible, without speculating if they were easier than another.

Those guys gave up ... Hopkins couldn't fight past 8 rounds ... his work rate fell off so bad in the latter rounds against Calzaghe. He stopped punching for the most part.

Morales and Barrera knew they were beat against Pac ... they basically gave up ... Barrera went out like a ***** and Morales went out like a soldier, but both knew that this guy had their number - he was much faster and more explosive than anyone they ever fought and you saw the end result to both of those guys.

Even though i'm a huge fan of Morales ... he went about fighting pac the wrong way and paid for it and ultimately ended his career.

It's all in the attitude. Floyd is cocky, but I guess that's to hype the fights. Nothing wrong with that. But alot of ppl hate him for it and would do anything to downplay how great he really is.

I don't know if you know the game that well but champions aren't just champions for no reason.

Its very difficult of taking a belt from a defending champion ...

Its not easy winning a title altogether ...

You act as if the path is easy travel ... no you have guys who want a championship just as much as you do ... or they want to hold on to their title ... or they want to get a name off of you ...

Its not easy at at all ... 12 rounds isn't easy either ...

Because Floyd is retired, Pac and JC are still active.

He has a lot of opponents that would help make him reach top 10 atg list. He's ****ing up what can be a great legacy.
