Why isn't PBF considered in the same light as a Pac or Calzaghe?

    Bull****.

Just because Floyd retired and nobody is talking about him does not mean you need to make threads defending him of accusations nobody made.

Everyone talking that **** says that Floyd needs to fight Cotto to secure a spot on the ATG top 30 list ...

"If Floyd comes back, he needs to fight Cotto ... If either Pac or Calzaghe were to retire - no one would say anything about them needing to fight anyone.

What reasonable fan puts Mayweather in the all-time standings below Pacquiao and Calzaghe?

    :rofl

I don't rate Calzaghe near Pac and PBF.

Pac takes the toughest fights possible. That's why people respect him and rate him high, especially considering he's got a great resume.

I rate PBF above both of them on talent alone, and he also has quite a solid resume, but not enough at 147. If he were to take on the toughest fights, he would be much much higher up.

PBF is slightly ahead of Pacman, and Calzaghe is WAYYYYY behind.

and PBF isen't considered the same because... HE FOUGHT AND BEAT THE BIG SHOW :p

Mayweather may well be a class or two above in terms of raw talent, but in terms of DARING to be great and wanting to PROVE he's the best by fighting the best, he's a cut below Calzaghe and several cuts below King Pacquiao.

It's pretty typical in boxing when a fighter is #1 P4P and #1 overrall he tends to get more haters posting the same rubbish over and over than fans praising simply because his accomplishments don't require people to mention them, they're out there for any boxing fan. 5 division world champion, #1 P4P for years, fighter of the year 2007, undefeated with supernatural skills. Pacquiao is definitely a great fighter as well and deserves the #1 spot right now in terms of accomplishments and skills. Calzaghe's skills speak for themselves too but when it comes to competition he(Calzaghe) doesn't belong in that list.

Funny how the haters will call Floyd a "ducker" or any of that garbage and when you ask them about possible SERIOUS fights he ducked only one name comes and that's Miguel Cotto who only recently became a serious threat at Welterweight. It's not like they have a list of names Floyd "ducked" and if Margarito is mentioned then you know that some haters are desperate for anything.

Calzaghe?!, come on man. :patsch If it wasn't for Lacy and Kessler publicly BEGGING to fight this guy and traveling to him with their belts then those 2 and only 2 worth mentioning won't be on his record.

Two cuts above Calzaghe and one cut below Pacquiao--in terms of daring--granted. :good

there are still fights for mayweather to have he needed to fight cotto it seemed he is scared. he lost repect when he retired. but you know flloyd he will come out of retirement and fight hatton and other easy fights. he never fought a top welterweight in a while. he needed to storm through the division and he simply didnt do that. He is just worried about money.

What happend to the fighters who wanted to fight the best and prove they are the best?
