Why isn't PBF considered in the same light as a Pac or Calzaghe?

Let's keep Calzaghe out of this for just a moment.

Before Floyd retired, I heard him mention two potential opponents by name (DLH & Hatton), both of whom he had already beaten.

This, when there are a slew of good welterweights out there, including one in particular, who EVERYONE wants to see him fight.

Meanwhile, Pac Man has posted a 5-1-1 mark against three living legends and all-time greats, and he's still looking to add from there.

Now, in terms of daring, HOW many steps below Pacquiao is Mayweather?

    ONE???

    Surely you're joking, Axe?

As you know, I respect your opinion as much as any other poster on this board, and I always find your posts both interesting and informative. Ergo, I am hard-pressed to believe that you believe this.

Make no mistake, in terms of raw skill, Mayweather is still king, but his boring style and continuing the RJJ trend of minimizing risk to mazimize profit is like night and day when compared with a true warrior like Pac Man.

Just my 2 cents, of course, but I strongly believe this.

The only one worth fighting right now at Welterweight is Cotto and he only made it official that he's a legitimate Welterweight threat when he beat Mosley recently. If you have followed Floyd you'll realise that he already has done ENOUGH in boxing to seek anything apart from major fights, which only Cotto offers right now. If you have a list of names in the division that would bring a major fight/event then please name them because I'm pretty sure you know well enough that it's only ONE, if it's only ONE how the hell is he a ducker who avoids challenge?

Before I do that, why not first address my point pertaining to the fact that Floyd spoke of rematches with Hatton and Oscar--two foes he HANDILY beat--rather than seeking out greater challenges?!?

Does THAT sound like a man daring to be great?

No! It sounds like a modern day Roy Jones Junior avoiding the modern day equivolent of Dariusz Michalczewski.

Bottom line is, Floyd may be infinitely more skilled than Pacquiao, but Pacquiao destroys him when it comes to being a crowd-pleaser and when it comes to 'daring to be great'.

I will accept NO ARGUMENTS to the contrary as being anything less than a steaming pile of doh****!

Floyd never made it official that he's going after Hatton next, his team just called and congratulated Hatton on his victory and a few fans and journalists immediately made it look like Floyd wants to fight him ASAP and the haters didn't need more to believe because they're haters.

About the DLH rematch, the offer was on the table, Floyd did consider it that's 100% true and a fight with Cotto would've been way better so I can't disagree with you here. But did the fight happen?, unlike Calzaghe Floyd's next fight is NOTHING so you can't really blame anything here. The man didn't make either fights you mentioned.

As far as Pacquiao destroying him, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Pac fights th best all the time, he has too many options unlike Floyd right now.

Because Floyd is a cocky *******, and he's easy to hate.

Pac is more likable, and while I think Joe C is an arrogant ***** on par with Floyd, he's got most of the UK worshiping the ground he walks on. That's why.
