Why isn't the heavyweight championship of the world shown on HBO or Showtime?

hbo dropped the klit fights mostly, apart from the haye fight, but having said that i hear they are very popular over in europe. german especially and still sell a lot of ppv.

 

Why didn't your daddy use a rubber? Some questions are not easily answered, son

 

They will get more viewers showing a rerun of a Paulie Shore movie than Wlad pawing and grabbing a guy for 9+ rounds.

 

jab and grab. they just dont appeal to the american fight crowd

 

lack of quality opposition

 

No one cares.

 

just very boring to watch.

 

because its too good to be true.

 

Simply not very marketable to US audiences on multiple levels.

 

I once read a very informative post by Jack on how HBO set everything up for Wlad in his matchup against Ibragimov, they gave him a prestigous venue@Madison Square Garden and really pushed hard for him to be a success so they could start showing HW boxing on a regular basis but instead Wlad treated the crowd to an aweful jab jab clinchfest and pretty much killed televised HW boxing on major US networks.

 

Combination of factors

1. The Klits are white, and American boxing fans typically don't like white boxers.
2. Most klit fights I admit are boring, American boxing fans want toe to toe wars.
3. Boxing just isn't that big in America anymore

 

Because the jews and blacks who run HBO and Showtime are prejudice against Eastern Europeans. That's a FACT.

HBO president Ken Hershman recently ADMITTED that it's because the Klitschkos "are not American" and they don't want to showcase Eastern Europeans.
