Okay, Look I know you need an explaination as to why Clottey suddenly stopped punching, Clottey said he hurt his hand during the fight, Okay so he did, and like I pointed out to you, in the pre fight interview just before he set foot in the ring, in his locker room, Clottey was asked about the hand and will it be a factor, Clottey said the Dr said it wasnt broke just a bruised Knuckle.

Now these are the words of Clottey, not mine, Clottey, if this isnt a good enough reason for you then I dont know what to tell you, I agree fighters do fight with Bruised Knuckles all the time, so I think that there was also more to it, but I dont think it was an injury.

its my opinion that Clottey noticed that Tonys work rate was getting higher and higher with each passing round, and the work rate that Clottey set forth early in the fight, may have worn him out a bit, so rather than to become another victom of Margaritos.

Clottey went into full survival mode, to save face, sure he looked good early in the fight, but again he stopped fighting, no broken hand just a bruised knuckle, but he was also getting hit to the body alot before during and after the work he had put in, and sometimes in boxing when you let your hands fly the way Clottey was earlier in the fight, and you have a guy like Tony investing in the body, you are going to gas out.

It just doesnt make sense for a fighter who is getting the better of the fight to suddenly go into survival mode. Only a fighter with no heart would do something like that.

Perhaps Clotteys heart was on the verge of being tested and he didnt want to find out about himself in that area.

i find that very hard to believe. Clottey is as tough as anyone else out there.

Nobody is saying he isnt tough but come on look at how Margarito puts it on his opponents win or lose, just becuase Clottey survived doesnt mean he isnt tuff

if your saying because he made it through the full fight then perhaps you have an arguement, but Cotto and Cintron both tried to fight, they both kept fighting until the bitter end you cant exactly say the same for Clottey, personally all three are tough IMO.

Cotto ran from one corner to the other, thats not fighting.
Cintron cried to his corner everytime AM landed shot, thats not fighting.
Clottey took everything AM had to offer(most punches ever thrown in a 12 round fight) & he was never hurt or dropped at all, & he was throwing in the 12th round.

Clottey stopped fighting and went into full defensive mode for the last third of the fight, and you claim he was in pain so how can you say he wasnt hurt.

Quitting isn't the only sign of pain you dumb****. By that logic you use, no fighter has ever been in pain if they finished the fight.

Clottey was in pain & finished, Cotto was in pain and had to surrender, baby Kermit was in pain & cried!

You should read and understand what we were talking about. I meant hurt how baby Kermit was, he was never in trouble of being KO'd
