I definitely agree, his resume is top notch. Pac may have beat Morales, Barrera and Cotto, but he doesn't have names like Mormeck, Thompson or Wach on his record
:rofl.....and due to the highly controvertial nature of the first fight (won every round and KO'd him in 11th), he felt Tony Thompson deserved a rematch!?!?
he beat only the smaller guys ... that aint gettin' him the high p4p status ... now after he beats Wach he may jump into top5 p4p.
Because the following people are more talented than him in a pound for pound sense (in no particular order, and perhaps not an extensive list)- Andre Ward Sergio Martinez Floyd Mayweather Jr Manny Pacquiao Juan Manuel Marquez Nonito Donaire
He probably would but he didn't say head to head number one, he said pound for pound number 1. And being that Wlad is about twice the size of most of that list I don't think head to head is fair.
First of all this year was the first time he has fought 3 times in a long time and 2 of his opponentes were ****. Old slow, glass chin Mormeck or old slow no power Tony Thompson. Why Mormeck? a CW with not much power a bad chin and a mere 3 fights at HW with disputed wins over journeymen ? Why Mormeck? Oh yeah..easy payday and another KO on the record. Wlad still has to beat Wach.
I agree Wlad is the most deserving of the top P4P position. But he wil never get that recognition because that spot is reserved for slick, little guys.
