Why isn't Wladimir catching hell for fighting Chisora?

The interesting thing about this is that Wlad and his brother have been making contenders irrelevant. Then the WBA has their own psychodrama with Valuev (injured but at #2) and Chagaev (still #1) and Haye on top. With Timur Ibragimov's ranking at #7 before the fight and Mormeck at #12 I can imagine that Mormeck doesn't look that out of range considering he gave unranked Audley Harrison a chance. Eventually, things will come to a head and a Klitschko will fight David Haye. Fortunately for us, we get an active champion. Unfortunately, it's all the heavyweights have to offer and the division is left being seen as weak.

If Chisora were Wlad's only defense in a year, then I'd say this match is a ripoff. It's not, he's active.

I think we´ve been through this many time on this forum

    1) Wlad already fought 2 times this year and it´s a stay busy fight
    2) There weren´t many other good available opponents for him
    3) Chisora is sure as hell much better than Fraudley "Please don´t hit me" Harrison

I´d have liked Wlad to fight JC Gomez instead because Gomez has a good past career, but Gomez is probably pretty washed up at this point.

p.s. but yeah, I think it´s a pretty lousy opponent and a mismatch and I´m a Wlad fan

I personally think Chambers is levels above Chisora and Austin, who I agree are/were lousy opponents for Wlad. Chambers had beaten decent contenders and I felt he may have deserved the nod against Povetkin. IMO it´s just that Chambers was too small for Wlad, the same way Chris Byrd was. Chambers might be a good opponent for Haye or Chagaev though.

It's good we can watch a woman beater get beat up.

you could probably go through the top 30 fighters in the world and find someone more worthy of a shot than chisora. just to name a few

    dmitrenko
    sosnowski
    johnson
    mormeck
    gomez
    thompson
    solis
    briggs
    skelton
    sprott
    helenius
    ustinov
    valuev
    ruiz
    tua
    holyfield

the list really is endless you know.

lets remember chisora only has 14 fights and his best victory is sam sexton. a man who scraped past rogan barely.

I get the people who say "wlad has fought 3 times this year, be grateful he is so active" that is all well and good, a fan would want to see him as much as possible, as long as we dont pretend it is a meaningful victory that would crack the top 20 of wlads victories to date.

Brock,Peter, chagev,Sultan all were undefeated when he fought them. Chambers had 1 loss. Has Haye done this?!
