He's like a Clinton Woods type. Good solid fighter with limited talent who's made the most of what he has. It's Roy's toughest fight (other than Calzaghe) in the past several years, but one he SHOULD be able to win if he has anything left in the tank.

That said, the answer is that Jones-Green is a huge money fight. Jones will probably make in the neighborhood of $7 to $8 million for fighting Green, which is possibly more than he'll make for fighting Hopkins. Green is a huge draw in Australia, and Jones heading to Australia means it could literally break all box office records there. Plus, Hopkins probably ends his career, while Green given him a good chance at winning and then STILL getting a big money fight in Hopkins. It would be dumb for him to cancel this one.

As for the weight, Jones has said he'll come in at around 180, so the weight thing shouldn't be an issue. He'll just fight at LHW without draining, and Green is a small CW.

I think Jones is a pretty good tuneup to prepare for Adamek

The one where Green was visibly sickened by weight-cutting? I'm not claiming that Green is some superb boxer.. But he has decent skills, a wicked jab, awesome power and an iron chin that has never failed him... spells danger for any fighter with a susceptible chin (no matter how skilled).

Why not fight at 200lbs? It's in Jones and Greens best interest, unless Jones wants to fight Johnson at LHW who exactly is left for him at the lower weights?

With Jones I doubt he will make 200lbs since he didn't weigh that against Ruiz, but I do expect him to be over 180. I expect he will be around the same weight he was at with Ruiz, 190ish. If he does come in at 180 what exactly will Green weigh? Green is the power puncher so how will Jones have enough power to make him respect his punch?

It will be an interesting fight and anyone can win. It's not going to be something we should expect Jones to win anymore than the Tarver fight was.

LOL at mega fight. The only people that give a **** about this fight are Hopkins and Jones nuthuggers. If this sham gets put on PPV, I predict less than 200K in sales.

Jones has no Chin and handpicks all his fights. The guy is one of the biggest frauds in the history of the sport.
