Why Joshua doesn't have that much of a chance against Klitschko

I've been told, that AJ will be too young, too powerful and too ''hungry'' for Wladmir Klitschko.

Do you know what these people have been saying? They are saying that Wlad no longer knows how to let his hands go, and that he is finished as per see with the Fury fight. This usually provides me with a good belly laugh because these archaic minded simpletons do not understand that one swallow doe not make a summer

The first thing is, Wladmir Klitschko is now a man on a mission, and has trained like a demon to get his revenge on Fury before all of the circus ended it. Do you really believe those same gains and mentality and drive have suddenly been lost now the dates have been moved to fight Joshua?

Secondly Joshua isn't Tyson Fury. He doesn't have the movement, the awkwardness, the ring smarts and the unorthodox switch stance that Fury utilises to confuse his opponents.

Joshua is a traditional come forward ko artist that has fast combinations. That is all he has going for him at this point. Klitschko doesn't need to be anxious because he has dealt with many fighters with a similar style over the years. Namely Haye, Polevkin and Sam Peters amongst others who carried similar formidable offence and aggression.

Joshua's height will also not be of considerable concern because they are both same height, Wlad is 6,6 and Aj is also 6'6 . Wlad will have no problem using all of his experience to disengage any of Joshua's onslaughts by smothering this man into submission with the jab to the point where AJ won't even be able to breath.

The unpredictability that Fury brought to the table was one of the main reasons why Klitshko was hesitant to let his hands go until the last round. Also intelligent footwork and faints were tools Fury's used to destabilise Wlad's work. Aj as no such inteligence, he is basically a stationary target for Wlad to blast his overgrown head off.

Klitsckho will have no trouble landing the steelhammer jab as rarely does Joshua use any head movement, a habit now ingrained simply due to the sub level opponents who've been carefully chosen for him were there was never any need to utilise such movement. As most of those chosen, were selected solely to be slaughtered and to make AJ look more than he is and as such were simply incapable of fighting back with any merit.

Further to this, Wladimir has already sized Aj up in sparring. I believed they sparred a total of 20 rounds while AJ was in camp in Austria with him. And every single time, without exception, Wlad had his way this offender.

Lasly Wladmir possess twice the power to that of someone like Dillian Whyte who managed to send AJ into a momentary seizure, yet we found out later the same power didn't even to phase domestic hopefuls David Allen and Ian Lewison who all took Whyte's best shots in their stride.

So I ask what chance on this earth does Joshua have against a man who possesses such superior power?

Yes sure, that wasn't ''Josh'' who started breathing heavily out of his mouth against Whyte in the 3rd round.

So he showed signs as gassing as early as the 3rd round against Whyte, yet you don't think he will gas as fast as the 12th round because he's young? lol

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Joshua will definately gas guaranteed, he will expend so much nervous energy during the introductions when he looks over at Wlad, and he realises that this is it, he is in with somebody who is certainly capable of knocking him out cold, he has not had that so far in his career.

Now i am not a AJ hater i actually like the kid, but i feel that this is too soon for him, and i always felt when he got hold of that belt that he would find himself in this situation far too soon, i believe he should have stepped up in opposition for at least four more fights before going after world titles, so come on Whyte V Joshua was considered a world championship fight, at best it was only British level fighters fighting each other, and look what happened to AJ, OK he won but look what happened to him, didnt like body shots that seemed to take everything out of him, got tagged by a decent left, and if Whyte had decent finishing skills he would be champ now...

So all this talk of AJ Koing Wlad is beyond insane, it aint going to happen.

Like i said i am no AJ hater, just believe it is too soon for the guy, and the better more experienced man will win on the night.

    Wlad KO Rd7.

    That's a great post.

You make a lot of valid points, and yet I can't help but feel that Wlad has slipped lately.

It could be that movers like Jennings and Fury are all wrong for this slightly older, slower Wladimir, and that a relatively static target like AJ is made to order for him.

But 40! 40 is freaking ancient in boxing terms, when we are used to guys getting over the hill at 32-34.

I will be most intrigued to see if Wlad can still uncork the thunder.

Its easy to see either man getting the KO. Wlad doesn't like getting hit at all....he's like a rabbit in the headlights. Hearn buys a good strict ref that won't tolerate excessive clinching (since it is ILLEGAL) and that will remove Wlads no.1 survival technique - the infamous jab n grab that made him a leg end the world over. Plus he's old, over 12 months of inactivity. Also Wlad will not have his usual advantage of size/reach/strength over his opponent this time. Its a real 50-50 fight for me this one. Both can KO the other easily. 1st one to land a solid shot takes it. At least we know AJ will be throwing his bombs. AJ - early to mid rounds. If it goes longer Wlad. But easily could be a don't blink affair to....if AJ makes it an all guns blazing fight he can force it early - for either man. How much does old Wlad have left in the tank - we don't know till dec 10th.

If Wlad get hit he will not crumble like folks think, even if he gets knocked down. You aren't a champion in boxing unless you're tough. If this gets signed this is going to be a great fight I think. If AJ had a consistent jab and stamina for 12 rounds I'd pick him as the unquestioned favorite but there's still questions.

Klitschko looked slow and at times confused against Jennings and older and more confused against Fury. He couldn't pull the trigger, couldn't cut off the ring and was consistently out of position. His stamina has always been suspect.

I give him a chance against Joshua but I'm not optimistic.

I think his confusion stemmed largely from Fury's quickness and unpredictable movements. He did look bad against Jennings, too, though.

Is this fight 100% official? I've been out of the loop.

Jennings was undefeated, motivated and gave everything. Yet still Klitschko beat him.

Joshua doesn't even possess the range of movement jennings had to make Wlad confused.

People act like Fury beat the hell out of Wlad, when it was just a case of fury making him hesitant and beating him to the jab and closing the rounds.

Stil,l Wladimir managed to smother Fury throughout the fight and why do you think in the last rounds Fury was also breathing heavily and struggling to get through the rounds? Because wlad smothered the air out of a 6,9 HW. Imagine how hard Joshua will be breathing after Wlad has smothered him for 5 rounds?
