Simple question. Am I the only one who is bothered by all the talk that Juanma was ducking Caballero? Everyone states that Juanma didn't wan't to fight that bum, but nobody says anything when Pac dosn't fight the better competition...

They are both Top Rank fighters which means that Bob Arum is the one who decides who they fight... Not the other way around. Personally I don't think either one of them would duck anyone if it was their decision, but it clearly isn't.

Lopez isn't ducking any body. The only criticism I have is he hits behind the head a bit too much..

I think JuanMa would have fought Caballero every day of the week if he had a choice. He's a warrior who would fight anyone, just like Pacquiao, as you said. The criticism really does lie with Arum. There is no way he will let these guys fight anyone, unless the money matches the risk at hand. He's the problem and guys like JuanMa and Pacquiao should be praised because they will fight anyone.

If Arum asked JuanMa to just up divisions and fight the best, I think he would. Pacquiao would fight at middleweight, if he was asked, too. That's just the way warriors are. However, Arum is the coy businessman and there's no way he'd risk that. Hate on him, not the fighters he controls.

Pacquiao's fought two top 5 WWs and a guy who was 18 months removed from being the #1 WW in the past year, all were current or recent champions in the division. The only top WWs he hasn't fought were all tied up with each other (Berto, Mosley, Mayweather).

Now Mayweather doesn't have the urge, Mosley is too old and Berto is too green. Who is the better competition?

It's bec. juanma tells it himself. THat he didn't need to fight a b-class fighter or something to that effect. SO it stirs the critics on him. No surprise. He should have just said, he'll fight whoever's put in front of him by his promoter/handler etc.

Anyway. Arum ****s around the great fighters in his stable: Juanma, Pacquiao and Donaire.

I'm not hating on Pac, but we all know alot of people think like that and everyone seems to give Pac a free pass about it and blame Arum. While when it comes to Juanma everyone blames him instead of Arum.

Boxing is a business and people need to understand that.. the caballero fight wasnt atractive to JML because the money didnt match the risks.. caballero wanted a payday like if he was a start and clearly he wasnt and now his value went way down a lot more

    Pac ducked Nate Campbell...FACT.

Cabellero is 34 years f'n old. He's a bean pole at 126 at 5-11. I still think it would be a great fight. But instead, we're forced to wait for Gamboa-Lopez and neither of them are fighitng a risky fight anytime soon.

    He's the odd man out.
