Call me crazy, but I think the champ in his division should face the number one guy.

I'm guessing the original poster is also a Floyd fan. Just sayin'.

please ,I Loathe Mayweather who is a coward. Cotto is a Warrior, he just doesn't want to get knocked out by a GGG who brings nothing to the table in terms of PPV or money. Its much easier to try and squeeze out two paydays after a career of never ducking an opponent, something Mayeather has no clue about.

So you think if Cotto gets ragdolled by Golovkin in like 5 rounds that it will enhance his legacy?

Now if he beat Golovkin, then that would be a huge boost to his legacy

I sure hope Cotto vacates. Golovkin stops Cotto by rd 8

That being said, I would bet Cotto beats Quillen, Lee and Geale so your saying Golovkin hasn't fought anyone as good as Cotto is correct

I think Golovkin Vs. Murray might be a good fight. Murray is no push over, but I expect Golovkin to knock Murray out, KO or TKO...............

Why do people keep insisting the guy who is holding on to the lineal middleweight title defend against his clearest, most deserving, and most rightful challenger! Damn you guys. I know Golovkin has been deserving the chance at the lineal title since before Cotto even fought Martinez, but in 2007 and 2008 Cotto fought Mosley and Margarito, and he also fought Pac and Mayweather. Its obvious that because of these fights, he can hold a title hostage and not defend it against other deserving fighters trying to write their own chapters in history.

Just stop. Let Cotto defend the lineal title against welterweights, his actual challengers would destroy him and he doesn't deserve that, even though he chose to enter the division in the first place, and is choosing to hold on to the title.

I like Cotto. Hes been great for the sport. And yes GGG will beat the aging warrior. But its a fight that would definitely sell and one that should be made if Cotto stays active. Miguel is the lineal champ, Golovkin the best fighter in the division. The best should fight the best, thats how it should be in every division, even at the expense of sacrificing the champion.
