Why Kessler suddenly removed from top spot at boxrec?

    go to boxrec.com and read up on their algorithm and you will probably find your answer

    I will say what i say every time someone whine about boxrec.

    DON'T LOOK AT THEIR RANKING.

    He's a good fighter, but I agree that he is very overrated on here.

    kessler is clearly the best super middle around at the moment but if keeps getting pitted against c class fighters then he'll be forgotten.

    it's that simple.

    Mundine was outclassed by Kessler? HUH? More like the other way around, if anything. Mundine did the far cleaner work in that fight. I couldn't count the number of times Kessler hit Mundine's gloves or missed altogether. Kessler fell for every fake-Roy-Jones feint. Funny **** to say..

    Boxrec is a computer ranking system...As such the fighters that any fighter has fought can and will have a direct effect on thier rankings...I that case a fighter doesnt have to lose or even fight to move up or down in those rankings...

    Example, not a real thing just for explaining how it works...Say Kessler beat Mundine and Bute, then say those fighters lost fights within a week that would cause Kessler to lose point and thus drop in the rankings, at the same time say that a couple of fighters that Froch fought won that would cause his ranking to gain some points and move up..
