    You're kidding right?

    Sosnowski was EBU champ
    Audley Harrison was EBU champ.

Pianeta won the EBU title by beating SCOTT GRAMMER!

    Its a meaningless title.

If your punches don't bother Wlad, you're done.
    It's that simple

Prov is a top ten lww, it's a decent fight.

Wlad is fighting an unranked no mark.

    Provodnikov is not top ten.

    Who has he beaten?

Provodnikov is boxrec #24, which seems about right to me.

Check his record to see who he's beaten.

Ring have him tenth I think, boxrec dont even have wlad number 1 at hw.

Provodnikov has never defeated a decent opponent, that's why BoxRec has him down at #24.

Ring ratings used to be good, but they have lost all credibility.

Boxrec dont have wlad number 1. So if we are to go by those rankings vitali is the best in the world.

It has to do with Vitali's opponent Adamek being ranked higher than any of Wlad's opponents of the past 18 months.

Wladimir will be #1 again next month when 18 months have passed since Vitali-Adamek.

Provodnikov will push the action and tempo, make the fight interesting.

Wlad will paw, grab and refuse to engage like always. In no way is any Wlad fight better than a Provodnikov fight....at least from an entertainment standpoint.

Here's the reality. Any contract that K2 sent to Pulev or Fury no doubt had re-match clauses and options for K2 on future fights should the challenger win.

If K2 offered Pulev or Fury 1 million with no rematch clause, I bet they would have accepted.

K2 can get away with this because boxing is dominated by money and nobody can stop them. But it's absurd...why doesn't the WBO or the WBA enforce a mandatory? Why isn't Wlad fighting his mandatory Povetkin when neither has a fight scheduled?

Look, I was ok with Wlad fighting Mormeck after Haye but this is getting ridiculous....Mormeck, TT, Wach, and now Pianeta? Come on man--there are much more interesting fights out there.

It's time for fans to stop making excuses. Real fans should want champs to fight the best. It can no longer be denied that K2's greed and unfair contracts are holding back the heavyweight division.

No, not really. Their contracts are no different than most.

But Bob Arum's greed and cautious matchmaking is holding back the sport of boxing.

Who else in the sport has multiple tag-team options?
