    That's a great list.:good

Very similiar to John Thomas' in the classic forum, which I was impressed with save for a few minor placements.

Janitor's list was comical, I need to go dig it up for referance. The biggest thing that stuck out as ridiculous was Langford over Tyson, Holmes and Frazier/Foreman.

I have Lewis ranked 3rd as well (keep in mind that this isn't a head to head list because it would look VERY different)

    1. Muhammad Ali
    2. Joe Louis
    3. Lennox Lewis
    4. Larry Holmes
    5. Rocky Marciano

Honestly, the same three as yours, albeit in a separate order...

    Lennox Lewis
    Mike Tyson
    Larry Holmes

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

On the contrary, as this whole thread demonstrates, he's grossly overrated by many fans:

    * only top level HW to get starched in the early rounds by second-tier fighters twice when he held the title

    * didn't fight the other great fighters (Holyfield, Tyson) of his era until they were in serious decline (Holyfield) or completely shot (Tyson)

    * didn't fight Riddick Bowe, the 4th best HW of the era at all

The first item ALONE should be enough to raise questions about Lewis' top ten status (let alone top five, that's absurd), when you add it all up it's pretty damn clear this guy isn't even the best HW of his own era (that's Holyfield) let alone top ten all time.

Holyfield seems quite high for someone so inconsistent. Zakman influencing you by any chance?

H2H, in no particular order, as I am not sure of the order yet:

    Ali
    Lewis
    Holmes
    Tyson

More like 30th greatest. There are so many better HWs. The problem I have with fighters like Lennox is that they are dependent more on their size than their skills. Evander is a small HW but he was able to hang with Lennox for 36 rounds because he had heart and mad skills. Holyfield would have been a contender and champ at HW in any era. I am not certain Lennox would have been. Holmes' agility and jab would have been a nightmare for Lewis as would have been Ali's. Vitali K is a good fighter but he is not the most skilled fighter and he took Lewis to the limit. Sonny Liston was stronger than Lewis and he had a better jab. Frazier's fast hands, awkward style and mean left hook would have been a real challenge for Lewis. Joe Louis, George Forman, even contender Ron Lyle were stronger than Lewis. Then there's Tim Whiterspoon in his prime and Riddick Bowe as a pro. Would Lewis been able to take a overhand right from Earnie Shavers? Shavers was hell on taller fighters. I don't think Lewis had a particulaly shaking chin but he could be stopped. If Rahman could do it, just think what Louis, Liston, Foreman, Lyle or Shavers would have done to him.
