When Tyson is decribed as having a 2 year prime in way of excuse for every loss he had, its ironic that Lewis in your opinion must have had a 7 year prime if you consider a 1994 loss and a 2001 loss as both happening in his prime!!!! Wow if he had a 7 year prime then he must rank higher than Tyson and Holyfield to you since Holyfield is given a pass on every loss by posters here due to having had about a 1 year heavyweight prime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and fought stupidly without strategy or brains, he gave Holyfield every advantage by fighting on the inside and ended up getting nearly knocked out himself and then knocked down in one of their other fights.
As a result Bowe is virtually incomprehensible when he talks and never beat anyone else other than the Herbie Hide level bum.

Well, its official then. Lewis is 3rd greatest HW of all time at being starched in championship matches, right behind Grant, and Seldon.

OH PLEASE - Holyfield wasn't "starched." He was knocked down by a BODY shot, and BEAT the count. The only reason the fight was stopped was that his corner threw in the towel!!

You guys who overrate Lewis and underrate Holyfield can at least be accurate when you try to discredit Evander! Oh, and did I mention he was 40 years old when this happened!!:patsch

Evander Holyfield was, hands down, the best HW of the 90s. He fought the best when it mattered, and it took great fighters MANY rounds to stop him, not second raters a few rounds. That's the difference!

Just like lewis was getting on towards 40 when he beat a much tougher fighter in vitali.

He was 37 - and yes, those three years make a difference. Particularly given that Holyfield was in decline at a YOUNGER age than Lewis.

Holy also being the smaller HW, and was involved in some of the most grueling battles beginning at CW, no less.

Its funny how Lewis at 33 gets no credit for beating a 36 year old WBA/IBF champion Holyfield yet also gets no credit for winning at almost 38 years old against 31 year old prime vitali, the number one contender and future champion.

Just goes to show the double standards of the Lewis detractors and haters.

Joe louis and ali, no way holyfiled ranks above lewis at heavyweight with the losses he has stacked up as well as losing to lewis twice.

A decent enough boxer but realistically he wouldn't have been able to cope with true greats in their prime i.e Ali, Tyson, Louis, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes etc. He doesn't make my ATG top 10 HW list.

Most over rated fighter ever (and I'm a Brit)
