What power was there to fear for Mosley? Margarito didn't land anything on him. It would have been a different story if he did land like he did against Cotto.
give it a rest. floyd would likely beat tony, but it was less of a sure thing than baldomir. its as simple as that. mr. mayweather has a future to look after and that 0 is worth a lot of money to him.
Negative. Cotto outboxed Pac for most part of the fight. Manny throwed barrage of punches on him, hurt him bad, and cotto got discouraged. Manny didn't outbox him
If Ortiz, who quit against maidana, and unproven as a welterweight bothered Gayweather beforte being suckered punched, Margarito will have success. Ortiz was eating right hands like they were tacos with no chili.
Margarito's style/variety of punches would make it interesting at times as Floyd likes go to the ropes, but it's an easy UD for Mayweather. Nobody that slow with NO defense beats Mayweather...ever.
Floyd, would kill Margo....and yes, the knock out will follow after a series of chin check blows.....
I see it going down more like the N'Dou fight, rather than Baldomir. There was a lot of hype on both sides of that fight. Floyd was a superstar but N'Dou was the guy that was supposed to give him problems. He was like 31-1 with 30KOs at the time or something. But his size, high work rate, and pressure fighting weren't giving Floyd the problems they were supposed to. I'm not saying Floyd would knock Margarito out; I think that's out of the question. Margs is carved from wood and Floyd doesn't have the power at 147 that he did at 135. But everyone saying that volume and pressure will trouble Floyd probably weren't watching boxing 5 years ago. And Margs isn't even in the same league as JLC, so that comparison it moot.
