He already holds HoF status, and did to Pacquiao what most fighters couldn't do. Should he win his next fight, he'll face the winner of Pac vs Bradley. Risking another match with Pacquiao, which may not end in his favor, considering he was already out in the fourth fight, if not for that well placed shot on Pac jaw. So the only thing left to ask, after closing the door on that chapter the best possible way he could of is, why Marquez?

Because he can do it again and have two KTFO6 victories on his resume... That wouldn't be a negative...

Because he's capable of it again, it will be worth money and the chance to win another title at another weight class.

I really don't see Marquez doing that to Pac a second time. If not for the haymaker in the last mins of the round, I believe Marquez would have been beaten in the next round.

Annoys me when people say marquez was gone, pac woulda ko'd him in a few rounds bla bla.. we'v seen marquez down loads, he fights back and has never been stopped. Theres not reason to say he wouldn't do that again (i'm not saying he would of won without the KO). Heck pac had him down 3 times and he fought back to a draw, some people thought he actually won. It'l sense it will be like marquez pac 3 if they meet again.. both will be wary especially pac.

    Oh, is that right?

    Is that what you believe?!?

Do you have any idea how stupid that makes you sound?

It was not a haymaker, either...

It'd be different, perhaps, if in their three previous fights Pac had KO'd Marquez each time. But that is not the case. The vast majority of fans will have scored the entirety of all 4 fights combined in favor of JMM.

    ----

For what it's worth, I think the 5th title in a 5th division means everything to Marquez now...

I think he's a fool. Money shouldn't control you, you should control it. He had good enough reason for the first four fights to motivate him, which served him well in the end. That motivation of redemption is gone now. Now it's in Pac court, and i think it's going to serve him well, just as it served Marquez well.

Relax Nonito I'm just voicing my opinion. I can tell your a Marquez fan, but me being stupid is not called for. I'm a Marquez fan as well, but based on what I seen after Pac was droped. He started to get stronger as Marquez started to fade. Which is why I feel the way I feel.

I like Marquez, but not that monumental of a fan at all.

He was landing that same dip-and-R-hand for the previous 3 rounds before the KTFO6... It was not a haymaker in any way other than the result and it was everything but a "lucky punch." I hate hearing that kind of nonsense and I don't see how anyone can feel that way without being agenda-driven. It's the same with the folks who say Garcia was getting whooped and was moments away from getting KO'd by Khan before he landed a "lucky punch..." Followed by a few more "lucky punches" I guess...

Are you against the concept of the 'luck punch' categorically? Are you saying there never can be a win via a lucky punch ever?
