I don't believe that a fan can ever determine such a thing. A lucky punch would be one that was aiming to miss but somehow landed without the intentions of either fighter. I don't think we see very many of those at the professional level of boxing, dude.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xInP9Gi0xAA Hey *******s, Is this also considered a "lucky Punch"?:think
I will admit it wasn't a haymaker, although I still think Marquez was on the verge of loosing that fight for the fourth time. I just think he should leave well enough alone.
Yes, the punch was somewhat lucky. The difference, however, between that fight and the Marquez one, is that Pacquiao was systematically dominating Hatton and had he not landed that punch he likely would have still downed him in the ensuing rounds, either by landing something similar, or chipping away till Hatton give way. In Pac-Marq IV Marquez was the one being dominated. His nose was broken and he had blood flowing from his every orifice. Marquez was basically reliant on the landing of a punch like that for winning, and by the trajectory of the fight, he may not have had more than a round or two more left to make one. Would he have still pulled it off? Similar situation with Sergio-Williams II. Had Martinez not landed that punch I think it probably would have been a similar close fight like the first.
Realistically. Marquez should be 2-1-1 against Pacquiao. As in the first fight was a draw, he lost the second fight ,and won the last 2. The 3rd fight was a robbery. I dont think he should fight Pac again, but as long as he's in shape. I'd favor him to wiin
The ******* lies to himself when they give this opinion. People who really believe Marquez was on the verge of getting stopped should really re-watch round 6 in its entirety. Pacquiao rode the wave of a big round 5 for him when the 6th started, but Marquez shows in round 6 that although bloodied, his focus in the fight was all there. By the midpoint of round 6 he was taking back control of distance and hammering Pacquiao with clean jabs and rights. So in control was Marquez that with about 50 seconds to go in the round, Marquez tags Pacquiao with a left right combination that made Pacquiao gesture in disgust with himself like " how in the hell am I still getting caught with that shot." Youtube it and see for yourselves, Marquez was nowhere near about to be stopped by Pacquiao in round 6. ......and again for those who say Pacquiao was winning, every judge had Marquez up a point at the time Pacquiao went to sleep.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^:deal So many ******s conveniently choose to believe in the "Marquez was ready to be KO'd" myth.
No, the official judges had the exact opposite. Pacquiao up by a point. Press row was also overwhelmingly in favour of Pacquiao.
Pacquiao would have lost the 6th 10-8 if he managed to get up. Therefore, Marquez would have been up a point at the end of the 6th. Just saying. Pacquiao is only up on the cards if you pretend the 6th round did not happen. The official judges did not need to write down the 6th round score, because Pacquiao was KTFO. If they had, Pac is down a point. This idea that "Pac was up on the cards" is pure fantasy. If the man would have somehow recovered, he was down a point, not up one. And if anybody would have been getting finished the next round, it would have been Pacquiao. The guy was finished after that punch, regardless if he gets up or not.
"orchestrated"? :blood....that sounds like some ******* bull****. And to answer the question, by '**** logic, Pac Ko'd Hatton by a "lucky punch":deal k gurrl?
