Why Mayweather can't accept that he is not in the spotlight anymore?

    He just posted a video on instagram, while he is entering a UFC cage. He fought with McGregor 3 weeks before the Canelo-GGG fight just to destroy GB's event, now on the next day when they announced the rematch he started to post things like these just to speak about him, not about the Canelo-GGG rematch.

    He is still in the spotlight. He remains one of the most recognised fighters on the planet.

    How he chooses to manipulate that spotlight might be disagreeable, but he's still more famous than pretty much ever other fighter there is.

    His ego is even greater than his talent. If Floyd put half of this energy into promoting his stable and promotional company he could easily be one of the top promoters in boxing, but it won't happen since he still wants to be known as the highest paid fighter despite being old and shot.

    If he ends up taking a loss his brand will become worthless overnight.

    When conor act's flamboyant,flashy and confident they say hes amazing, they praise him,

    When floyd does it, hes arrogant, hes cocky, They hate him.

    When lomachenko trolls about winning belts in the UFC, They say hes amazing, They praise him.

    When floyd does it, hes attention seeking, insecure etc.

    LMAO same old story.

    Floyds human, nobody is perfect, retiring after being on top for 20 years will never be easy for an egomaniac like him, Hes also a master troll, its just funny that there is so many double standards, Other fighters can say or do the same things and never get criticized for it.

    quite frankly.....its money to be had there...at least for that one fight.

    If Conner chooses to stand up Floyd has a very good chance, if Connor goes to the mat...its a early night.

    EITHER way its a big payday.....win/win if you ask me.

    Nah. I tend to agree with most of what you say... but I think you really are off base here. Keep in mind, I really like Mayweather, and was rooting for him to KTFO out of McG. But...

    1 - Believe it or not, McG is levels above Mayweather in carrying himself that way. Sometimes its not just what you do, but how you do it. McG is legit at being a belligerent idiot lol. Mayweather seems fake doing it and it comes off cringeworthy, contrived, and basic.

    2 - Mayweather is quite obviously insecure. This is practically self evident in dozens of interviews (if not every other interview). So, sometimes actions are tied to other general observations, to form a conclusion on someone and the motivations behind those actions.

    3 - McGregor has plenty of haters for acting the way he does. And Floyd has plenty of fans for acting the way he does. The idea that the same people that hate on Floyd for being flamboyant, are the same people that like McG for being flamboyant, is a complete fallacy.

    4 - The fact that McG is better at being like that than Mayweather aside, there is also a better public reception to that sort of attitude when you go out and knock your opponent out after being like that, than when you go out and box to a decision win (I dont mind it, but the public tends to favor the guys that go out and finish their opponents after all that talking)


    All in all, this idea that there is some big double standard for Floyd is largely an illusion, just my opinion.
