Why Mayweather don't accept 45/45 and 10 more to the winner?

new to boxing i take it, It doesn't work like that 45 each and 10% going to the winner, we are talking tens of millions of dollars here not 50 bucks on black jack. Look it is a 2 way street, both guys are to blame here not just mayweather or Pacman.

You also forget how much Ortiz made for fighting Mayweather. A measley 2 million compared to Mayweathers purse. Mayweather took most of the cake leaving Ortiz crumbs that's why he was able to make 40 mill. BUT Manny Pacquiao is not Victor Ortiz and is just as big as Mayweather. The fight will shatter numbers and the more bitching they do the less lucrative the fight will be. They are losing money by not fighting. But since this is projected to be the biggest PPV boxing event in history, why squabble over **** like this when BOTH of them will be making the most money they ever made in their entire careers? If he can't do 50/50 at least 55/45 because Manny makes almost similar numbers.


This $30 Million offer from Mayweather is a slap to the face.

Because if you pay attention to Forbes and look at Manny's best year money wise Manny made a combined 35 million for fighting Clottley and Cotto, that same year Mayeather only fought Shane and Made 65 million, is it so hard to see that Floyd will never agree to 50-50 when he is making 3x more than Manny per fight, it simple economics, is Floyd supposed to take a low ball offer to make us fans and Manny Paquiao happy, since he's getting rapped by Arum.

And also the last 3 MP fights the ppv numbers has been unofficial, all three fights could have bombed badly for all we know, and he is not fighting the Cotto's of the world anymore, so I'm 100% sure Manny is commanding no where near the same amount of money per fight as stated in the forbes articles from 2010 and even then they were substantially low compared to the amount of money Floyd makes, and people have the nerve to give Manny a pass for turning down 40 million guaranteed, 20 million in his account for saying yes lets do it...

If you were Floyd would you be willing to accept 50-50 lose tens of millions of dollars in the process and also possibly take a l and lose all he has fought for against the tough south paw, just to make the fight happen, when Arum is a liar, is being sneaky deceptive with the numbers, a person that got caught fixing fights, it's simply too many gambles all around

 

Like against JMM, i honestly dont know why Floyd does not except this, but i know Floyd would beat Pac if they ever fight, no disrespect Pac is very good fighter but limited and gets away with his limitations because of his great athletic ability!

 

How is 55/45 the winner a good offer when Floyd makes close to 3x more per fight according to Forbes, please believe Floyd aint taking this fight for pennies, when he could make the same amount fighting nobodies

 

What you fail to understand is that Floyd will make his money whether theres a 50-50 split or not. It comes down to PPV #'s. Both Pacquiao and Floyds numbers are relatively equal. Just bc Pac has to pay out to Bob Arum and keep less money (supposedly) has nothing to do with Floyd and how the PPV $ should be split.

The bottom line is for Floyd to get the biggest payday of his career, he needs Pacquiao . Pacquiao is half the equation, so he deserves 50/50. At best Floyd can argue for 55/45 , but that's it. He should know by now this fight should have and can only be 50/50. There's no reason to try to defend him no this.

 

He's not going to make 'pennies' , he's going to make the biggest payday of his career, 50/50 or not. The reason he supposedly makes more money then Pac is because he's not paying out as much money to promoters like Pacquaio has to. But that doesn't mean he GENERATES more money , and that's the bottom line: who generates what. When you look at their PPV #'s, they are basically even. Floyd has a slightly higher average then Pac over their careers, but that's also because he became a PPV star earlier. Pac's last 3 PPV's actually total more revenue then Floyd's last 3. So he has little - no ground to be asking for more then 50-50.

 

I didnt say its fair, 50/50 is only fair, you will not find anywhere that i said Floyd should get 55%!!
