They could make history and make big 100,000 crowd fight. Just like in the old days in 20s. Just cheap tickets and the arena would be sold-out in seconds. Why its in Vegas?
biggest its the boxing capital bro! yes i know they should have it at a big arena but it is what it is. I live here so i got no problems!
They wouldn't make that much more or more at all if they sold them for cheap. Vegas is already selling bad seats for 1k+, and by cheap I'm assuming you mean around 10-20 bucks for bad seats. Anyways, that's around 100 times more, so unless they were selling bad seats for 100 each the math wouldnt add up. Also high rollers prefer a more private atmosphere, than a bunch of drunk broke boxing fans in a filled 100k environment, and they also are paying huge bucks.
Of course they do, why else would he fight there. not like Vegas hasnt had the biggest fights, Floyd doesnt live there, Mayweather and Pac havent had there biggest wins there...of course.....nut
Mayweather/Alvarez, the biggest gate in boxing history at 20+ million dollars, was at the MGM Grand. I think they made the only choice they could.
Not only is Las Vegas the boxing capital of the world, but its also one of the few places that literally has 24 hour-a-day / 7 day a week entertainment. The revenue that is brought in from people just for fight week is astronomical. Denzel Washington and Bruce Willis held a boxing party for a Pacquiao fight a few years ago and it generated something like 15 mllion dollars in one day for the casino. People do not just go for the fights, they go for the gambling, the shows, the concerts, the atmosphere, etc.
