    2 words .... Body Shots!

Just for the record you can not "like" or "love" a fighter to victory. At the end of the day it comes down to skills, talent, and will and Floyd got that in spades!

Of course I read all the threads and opinions of fans and many who are going for Pac seem to not understand Floyd's fighting style at all. You guys seem to have an image in your mind of Floyd simply covering up, on the defensive, running as you like to say, trying to avoiding getting hit. Your image of Pac is that he will be coming forward..very aggressive, swamping Floyd in punch output while Mayweather goes 100% defensive like Mosley or Algieri or some other lesser talent.
Just in case you dont know, Floyd is a great defensive fighter but he is also a great offensive fighter. Mayweather has a lot more variety in his attacks than Manny does. The only people who would argue against that are those who do not understand what they are watching.

I'm not going to get into everything Floyd does well (which is a lot) except for this...Body Punching! Unlike any other opponent Manny has fought, Floyd is going to launch a sustained attack on Manny's body... left hooks, right hooks, the jab and straight right to the mid section are going to get the job done. Those punches hurt and Manny will slow down immensely after taking a few of those. I am sure by the 6th round Pac will noticeably be slower that he was early in the fight. The reason being will be a combination of missing punches and getting hit in the body.

Floyd is not going to be as interested in hitting Manny in the face,..not until later in the fight that is. The straight right of course will be there but early on there will be a lot of clinches (Manny jumping in) therefore in fighting and body work will present itself. Manny on the other hand is not a good in fighter so this aspect of the fight will be all Floyd.

Before this thread gets to long lets discuss one more thing; Floyd does not simply cover up or defend without countering. Floyd is always watching his opponent...even when he is in a shell he always fires counter shots. I have never...and nor have you...ever seen Floyd put on ear muffs and simply take a barrage of punches, like how you saw with Bradley or weight drained Oscar.

    Defense - Advantage Floyd
    Ring Generalship - Advantage Floyd
    Offensive Variety - Advantage Floyd
    Jab - Advantage Floyd
    Right Hand - Advantage Floyd
    Timing - Advantage Floyd
    Intelligence - Advantage Floyd
    Durability - Advantage Floyd
    Strategy - Advantage Floyd
    Stamina - Advantage Floyd
    In Fighting - Advantage Floyd
    Size - Advantage Floyd
    Arm Length - Advantage Floyd

    -

    Power - Advantage Pacquiao
    Speed - Advantage Pacquiao
    Left Hand - Advantage Pacquiao
    Mid Range - Advantage Pacquioa
    Crowd - Advantage Pacquiao

And Still undefeated - Floyd Money Mayweather!!!

I think they are both tied in stamina but I would also include footwork tied for both and work rate for Pac

The body shots is how Floyd will deal with Manny's work rate. I gave Floyd the stamina category because I expect Manny to tire first. Pac does have great stamina though

Have you ever seen him tired? You can't expect the guy to tire if you've never seen him tired.

floyd will be giving up his height and distance if he plans a body attack. i can see pac countering him with right hook or left uppercut.

No he won't, because he is an excellent body puncher, his attacks will come when he's not in position to be countered. Just look at any fight when he fights a lefty, he destroys their body first

Excellent ****ysis. One slight point I will add is that I think Floyd is also better than Pacquiao at mid range. Guys who are smaller than Floyd like Hatton and Marquez he really does them in. Pacquiao is in trouble.

Agreed, Floyd is better at mid range but that is Manny's best chance. Inside and long distance Pac has no chance

to throw body shots, you have to be willing to close range and possibly eat punches, Floyd most likely won't be willing, and will try outpointing PAc from range

one of the worst undercards in history for one of the best fights in history (well hype wise that is)

I think range jabs will be an easy night for Floyd after he figures Pac out in a round or 2

That's what happens when Top Rank is involved....Arum thinks good undercard fights are stupid. But seriously, Floyd and Pac are getting paid so much they can't afford a decent undercard, it is unfortunate
