Which is why Watson was hitting thin air most of the fight.

I actually thought Eubanks won the first fight.

Pretty close fight. Obviously neither fighter is in the class of a Mike McCallum but they are solid.

 

I had him winning the first five rounds very comfortably and very clearly, with Watson clearly in much better form than the McCallum war.

Why Eubank didn’t continue banking all the rounds so easily was because he lost 19lb in 4days according to Ronnie Davies and actually collapsed completely flat at the hotel after the weigh-in (which was only a few hours before the fight itself!).

Day-before weigh-ins didn’t come in until after the Eubank-Watson II outcome, with WBC bringing it in first then the other three quickly following suit.

 

What happens when you weight cut so rapidly is they end up dehydrated after about six rounds.
