    SweetScience,

I agree that Floyds victory over Hatton is meaningfull towards his legacy. IMO though, i just never thought much of Hatton. I've always thought he was overrated, but regardless it shouldnt take away from the fact that FLoyd completely owned him.

Every Fighter much prove himself - every time he gets in the ring.

If Cotto loses to Gomez - would you still think he is proven?

This is probably one of the worst posts I've read all week....the worst part about it is I think you wrote the previous worst post. So for that "congrats" on once again out doing yourself.

FITZ, nothing you say makes sense man.

Do you think floyds win over DLH helped cement his legacy or bank account?

His hatton victory was more for legacy I'd say and greatly helped his pocket.

Outside of Hatton, Floyd hasnt fought a truly meaningful fight since Corrales and Castillo.

Just b/c he is a 5 division champion doesnt make his legacy fulfilled.

So yes, he needs Cotto for his legacy to be complete.

Cotto needs him to have a legacy at all.

    Mosley is old ...

wins over Cruz, Estrada, and Collazo ... mean nothing ... Cruz and Estrada are stepping stones and gave Mosley nothing but some rounds ... something like a sparring match.

Cruz and Estrada never won a title ... never won a title eliminator ... Cruz also lost to Sharmba Mitchell does that give Sharmba clout?

Estrada lost to Berto and Cintron - was stopped both times ... get the hell out of here with the name throwing.

The fact is wins over those guys meant nothing --

Mosley is over the hill !! He's fighting against Judah in a crossroads fight ... so theres not much to say about that.

You are correct. But hasnt Cotto proven enough.

To answer your question, win or lose Cotto would still deserve a shot at Floyd.

Why are you resorting trash talking all of a sudden? Floyd has the right to accept or decline this fight. Dude has been champ for a long time. Cotto on the other hand is an up and coming star. So if they fight, it would be on Floyd's terms. The reason why I think the fight aint happening is because Bob Arum isnt agreeing to the terms set by Floyd.

It helps both ... no other fighter in the WW division is more accomplished than DLH.

He fought DLH for 154lb WBC championship ... a weight that Mayweather had never been before.

You don't make sense ... how is a win over Cotto going to make his legacy complete ... you talk as if Cotto is Trinidad or something. A win over Cotto means nothing except another guy bits the dust that some Floyd haters thought had a chance.

You sound like you don't know boxing ... Floyd has been in the game 12 years and has accomplished more than Cotto has ever done.

So you're saying that B-Hops legacy wasn't complete before fighting Taylor?

Cotto hasn't done anything to grant such high honor ... he hasn't fought anyone. He got busted up by guys who wouldn't even last against PBF.

PBF blast Judah and blew him out ... he would do the same to Mosley who has no boxing skill.
