Why wasn't there ay 24/7 aftermath to the Pac JMM fight like it was for the Floyd Ortiz fight, I know not the only one who was expecting the cameras to follow the fighters, and see how they were dealing with the aftermath of the contreversail fight. Was this another move by HBO, to make the public buy into Many Pacquiao hype, and not show him and his team lamenting after that obvious loss
i was wondering the same i loved how they did it for floyd ortiz i was hoping they would keep it like that for all future 24/7 series
I thought this was the case also, and with the controversy of the fight, it would have been must see tv, HBO not doing it for whatever reason reeks of suspicious'ness
Mayweather/Ortiz was a 4 round fight and there was no fight scheduled for the next week. Marquez/Pacquiao was a 12 round fight and there was a fight scheduled for the next week. I believe it mostly had to do with timing contraints.
probably they shifted their resources to cotto-margarito 24/7 which was shown a week after the fight which would be the same time frame the 24/7 aftermath would be shown.
I would have liked it too. Is it right that Fight Camp 360 started it? Was interesting in the Mosley pac fight.
Cuz Bob Arum ans team Pac aint want to see their faces post fight or him telling jmm it was just business
Maybe so, but HBO boasted about the addition to the 24/7 that they did to the May vs Ortiz fight, them suddenly not showing the precursor or the aftermath to the fight had me scratching my head, and reeked of obvious agenda. Then to see that they clearly edited certain portions of the fight like Manny looking befuddled in between rounds, breaking down crying after the fight, solidified my point. The 24/7 camera's were obviously rolling they were cutting in to show Max and Lampley going at it instead of showing small clips of Roach or Nacho reaction to what was happening in the ring, HBO simply dropped the ball big time with that one
You make a lot of really good points. However, before this fight even happened, I thought that there was a good chance that we wouldn't get a 5th episode of 24/7. The Mayweather/Ortiz was just the perfect situatuion. You had Mayweather fighting, who's Mr. 24/7, you had a very short fight, you had a controversial ending and postfight interview, and there was no fight scheduled the following week. They had probably had an hr slotted for the re-airing of that fight, and they had nowhere near an hr's worth of footage with just the fight itself. With that being said, I'm sure HBO is glad they didn't have to do a 5th episode of 24/7 for Marquez/Pacquiao.
