I mean at least in the amateurs???(even though there is pro boxing in china now). thailand, korea, japan, philippines are stacked. china is so much bigger...........a gazillion people!!! they have to have at least a few talents. but where are they??? anyone know why??
They are more into Karate ( movies ). But also, like the East Euros/Russian Asians...they are Communists, so they have no career chance at it. Once they and maybe the Cubans have freedom ( which is unlikely for a while ) will show alot of victories :conf
I counted 62 active fighters from china and non have over 10 fights, isnt china still considered communism though may be the same reasons like cuba.
They do not have the cultural backing for the sport. This is a much more important factor than wealth and population -fullstop- In boxing terms, Puerto Rico > China -period-

Zhou Shiming 2005 Amateur World Champion at Light Flyweight, 2004 Olympic Bronze medalist, probably the most successful Chinese boxer.
Puerto Rico produces more top boxers than China despite having only a tiny fraction of its wealth and population. Goes to show that numbers aren't everything in boxing -fullstop-
