Neither of them seemed interested, Duran was flat-footed and slow, and Leonard pretty much coasted to a victory.

 

Not exactly no. If i just clicked onto it not knowing who they were, i wouldve changed the channel. But the style of the fight did amuse me greatly, because i could picture the seething frustrated Duran fans foaming from the mouth, probably dreading another quit job, because he just couldnt get to Leonard.

 

I shoulda been watching it when I couldn't sleep last night.

 

I recall watching it the night after it happened. As soon as it was over,I put in the video for their glorious first fight. Talk about going from the ridiculous to the sublime !

 

It was a disaster from the moment it was signed.

We, the Duran fancy, figured after Barkley we had Duran back for a little while, and with Leonard coming off the poor Hearns performance (Tommy and Ray had a second fight, shommel), surely Duran was going to redeem himself fully post Montreal...

But Duran was not Duran: He was nice, he was charming, he even joked with Leonard in press conferences!!!! They even mocked the Great Hands of Stone, with the promotional title of the bill (Uno Mas).

Duran was just there for the very decent Steve Wynn Money...

 

Yeah, Leonard and Duran were a disgrace in the third fight.Both laughing all the way to the bank with no intention of actually taking any more relevant tough fights against the top contenders of the time.

 

uno mas was a class name for it...sadly twas a **** poor match.

 

The fight was a bigger fraud on the public than the second one.
