Errr I hope not but maybe Antonio got to meet JM22 he does go to Laredo where JM22 is from quite often. Im sure if Antonio saw how JM insulted him on here he'd maybe like to meet him. #pray for 22JM

Well, he is 40 years old, and if GGG whoops him Canelo will have been whooped by a 40 year old. Thats what Canelo gets for waiting 4 years to fight this extremely personal rematch.

There was a reason Canelo avoided Derevyanchenko. Delahoya got the blame and took the fall, but Derev was high risk and low reward for Canelo.

There will be plenty of hype for this. I'll be pulling for GGG to win as always but I fear that at 40 he's too old and slow.

The fight is not compelling to me much at all, maybe it's not catching the publics interest for the same reasons it's not catching mine.

Honestly can't understand why anyone would be excited for this fight. Even if you were a fan of Canelo... you really excited about him fighting a 40 year old Golovkin?

Because unless GGG knocks Ginger Mouse out, he loses on the score cards.

Been there done that. A younger GGG couldn’t get a win over Canelo, why would an older one?

A younger Marquez couldn't get a win over Pacquiao in 3 tries, but an older Marquez could.

GGG looks to have lost a step or two. Factor this in with the knowledge that he should already have at least 1 win against Canelo, who will undoubtedly get the call in any round remotely close, and its kinda hard to be excited for the fight.

dead rubber in a trilogy that's already [regrettably] 2-0.

    the outsider is pushing 40.

the favourite is 32 and coming off a loss.

it's an interesting matchup given that two ATG's are involved, but it's lightyears away from superfight territory.

GGG has little recourse to victory - unless he can get a devastating liver / rib-breaking shot in, he ain't KO'ing Alvarez by head-hunting - who I don't think has ever been down, and hardly even in danger of going down since he was a nipper.

And as other's have stated he ain't getting a decision, unless he posts a better-than-Bivol shutout which is hard to see based on the styles; I had Bivol winning 9-3/10-2 but he squeaked by a round!

I'd be a lot more excited for this if I felt there would be a genuine 'big drama show' but it's hard to see how - Canelo has already taken everything GGG could throw in 24 rounds and was never close to a KD let alone a stoppage.

And whislt the 1st 2 fights were real high quality affairs, Canelo has abandoned his boxing skills loading up on power shots to try and stop B-tier opposition - which obviously backfired against Bivol; GGG has also obviously declined in speed and footwork, so this one isn't likely to have the same elite qualities as the first two.

Anything can happen in boxing, and I will be tuning in, but it feels like i know the script in advance, which lessens the excitement a lot

Because everyone knows what is going to happen. There is a reason Canelo’s team have waited four years to make a rematch with a smaller, 40-year-old fighter who was already past his peak when they last met and has fought four times in four years since. Canelo will win clearly and his PR team/fanboys will shamelessly spin it as ‘Canelo confirms his superiority in third bout’ rather than ‘Canelo waits for GGG to get old so he can beat him properly’.

The only suspense for me is whether Canelo can stop him. Winning a clear decision (for once) would not be all that impressive. GGG's legs are gone.
