Why no hype?? Waste if time fight imo. The only reason to watch is to see if canelo can stop ggg.
I have a question. If Golovkin rightfully loses this go around, does he stick around in the ring post fight? I'm just not envisioning a fight ending in decision, I can't see it.
Because Canelo is coming off a defeat and Golovkin is now 40.
I think it'll be a competitive fight but its not quite the superfight the first 2 were.
Do you not have DAZN?
There is nothing but hype for it on their streaming app!
Seriously though about 2 - 3 weeks out the media buys will be unreal.
they have the loot for it.
Yep and GGG knew he needed a KO going into the second fight and just boxed Canelo head off but neglected the body again!!
I think this time Canelo will actually “earn” and “deserve “ his win over GGG
Because who the hell cares. I've stopped being hyped for Canelo fights after X atrocious, corrupt scorecards. A good watch from a technical point of view (fantastic boxer nonetheless), but I feel nothing emotionally.
It's the 'threequel' to two fights most people saw a robbery on.
Most people or a good amount of the boxing world saw Pacquiao Marquez 1, 2 and 3 as robberies just the same. This forum just happens to be very anti-Canelo so the robbery feel seems stronger than it actually is. Worldwide, more people probably saw Pacquiao Marquez 1, 2 and 3 as a bigger robbery than Canelo GGG 1 or 2. It's difficult to quantify it exactly, but this website is basically just 100 or so posters who are big GGG fans and have become dedicated to spinning Canelo scorecards. Out of the thousands and millions of boxing fans worldwide, this forum's view on anything Canelo related is only a drop in the bucket.
You may be suffering from an affliction that is depleting you of your emotion or excitement for this match. I would suggest just sort of shaking yourself loose of whatever is bouncing around in your mind about Canelo or the scoring of the GGG matches. You might be getting caught up in a lot of the deluded arguments used by GGG fans who were very emotionally attached to him beating Canelo and then when that didn't happen and then when Canelo beat him, that caused a lot of GGG fans to completely lose their minds and their grasp on reality and to have to go come up with a whole bunch of baloney to explain that. This is major encounter coming up, I don't think people really understand how big this is gonna be next month. This could end up being the most significant fight of our lifetime and I'm not even remotely exaggerating. Saying that this is a crossroads fight is an understatement. We're at a fork in the road. I just don't think a lot of these GGG fans can cope with another loss to Canelo. And this is going to create a volatile and emotionally charged situation. I'm just saying be prepared for it and enjoy the ride, but it's completely delusional to act like this fight won't be massive, regardless of what kind of numbers they get. It's exciting, people say like you shouldn't be excited about it because GGG is 40 which is complete nonsense. This has nothing to do with age or youth, this has to do with the biggest rivalry not only in boxing but in all of sports in my opinion. A true good vs evil modern day conflict that each side thinks they're on the good side. This will be a very intense and deep fight. And it's completely unpredictable, so strap in.
But GGG has proven nothing at all at 168.
no one said he has
We've seen it twice. And their trajectories are totally opposite. Everyone has come to the realization Canelo is gonna win, and may stop Golovkin this time (I thought Golovkin won both fights). I don't see him winning this
Canelo is in the gym training and teaching his son how to box:
Everybody chill. It's 6 weeks till fight time, the hype will start picking up in due time.
I understand why most here are whining about this fight but I'm looking forward to it. These are my two favorite fighters so buying this PPV is a no-brainer.
A lot of people have given up on GGG and think he's only showing up for the payday but I think he's going to go all out knowing that this is his last chance for redemption against Canelo. Also, Canelo didn't look so good in his last fight and if he's assuming(like a lot of you) that he's just going to steamroll over GGG then he's in for a big surprise.
I would love to GGG win this fight especially after the robbery of the first fight. The second could have been a draw I had 3 rounds each with 6 rounds could have gone either way. Overall I thought GGG did more but did not do enough to win the rounds with Canelo judges and I think 6 rounds you could make an argument either way.
