Why no more 180-199lb boxers with extraordinary punching power?

So because he snapped Jeanette's head hard, he clearly hits harder than Kovalev and Stevenson? I don't think I follow.

PS - What is a "slow moving bomb"?

    OMG!!!!!!

    Langford had absolutely sick power!

He knocked out pretty much every heavyweight of the era, and usually in a totally disturbing way!

I honestly don't think that any heavyweight in history, as been more dangerous punch for punch.

Every common opponent whose testimony I am aware of, said that he hit harder than Jack Dempsey!

I would go as far as to say, that he was probably the most dangerous puncher before Joe Louis, and that the only other guy with an argument was Dempsey.

No doubt. But these men have sick power too! I see little reason to doubt that they would have brutally knocked out plenty of heavyweights of that era too in "totally disturbing ways." Put Nigel Benn in 4oz horsehair gloves in that era, and give him 200+ fights, and we'd be swimming in testimonials.

Why is it so hard for you to believe that these men may have hit as hard as Langford?

If every hard puncher could hit like Langford, his contemporaries would be receiving similar praise. They didn’t. Just like Benn doesn’t receive the same praise as Golovkin. It makes sense, and I don’t see what’s hard to get.
