For several reasons

1. Floyd was just as guilty of doing dirty sh*t. Forearms/elbows in the face, excessive clinching/holding, etc.

2. Floyd was never once penalized for his aforementioned tactics.

3. The vast majority of people were pulling for Maidana, so he was the given the benefit of the doubt. (Which I have no problem with)

4. The majority of people despise Floyd. People just aren't likely to harp on someone for using dirty tactics when their opponent is widely considered a piece of trash.
